Laughing Gas - Part 2

I'm not in much of a mood to type today so this will be short. I got my temporary crown today. I was a tthe dentist for probably 2 and a half hours or at least 2 hours. I still love laughing gas despite the negative effects it has on me sometimes. Somehow having it for the needles and whatever else they do to me sometimes helps a lot. The negative effects like the lack of sleep and anxiety are worth it, believe me. I think I might be a little sensitive to it, so I will try to avoid these situations in the future.

I've basically been watching Disney movies all day since and sleeping.

Laughing Gas - Part 1

Yesterday I started reading the bible again, but I felt too lazy to write so I decided to wait until today to tell you. I don't know if I'll make it through this time but I'll try my best. I'm going to try and try a few things like tetris to help me while I listen.

Today I thought I was going to get a filling. Dr. Creer said that I didn't need a crown but apparently I do. I made the mistake of going on laughing gas on an empty stomach and was nauseous when they had me on it at the dentist today. I am not looking forward to going back tomorrow because it gave me the worst anxiety and I ended up watching movies all day. I even watched a movie with the ward tonight for Family Home Evening. We watched the Incredibles and it was really fun despite my anxiety.

Other than this I just did some listening to the bible and I played Runescape, it helped me a little.

Equivalent Exchange

EDIT: I decided to take out the name of the anime and my recommendation because it has some nudity and I don't feel great about promoting it. Whether or not you decide to find and watch it is up to you.

Watching this anime I really like again made me think about a concept they have on that show called the law of equivalent exchange. In the show people follow this rule because they are alchemists. The rule states that to gain something something else must be taken away to balance it out. I was thinking of how much it would change the world if we transplanted this idea into our daily lives. I feel like we are always taking stuff but never giving, at least a lot of the time. If we all believed in balancing things out like this things would be much different. Greed and all selfishness would die. I really believe that this concept is the key to true happiness.

I believe the reason the world is so awry is because it is out of balance. We take from it, but we don't give back enough and that is why there is a lot of chaos and sadness. The concept of equivalent exchange is actually pretty brilliant. Even in the show if you don't give enough in exchange for creating something you can end up with horrible consequences. Another concept I loved in the show is that human life can not have a solid value, human life is priceless and nothing can equal it. That is one of my favorite concepts from the show.

I am glad I finally decided to write down these thoughts. We all need to really think about our actions and what we give and take away every day. In the end if the balance gets too badly disturbed bad things can happen. We see them all over the place but I don't really think we notice because we are so busy.

Anyway, I hope you contemplate this and understand.

Shopping List

I didn't feel like going anywhere far today so I just stick around and went to Harmons for a few hours.

I spent some time organizing the candy isle for fun and then walked around and started a shopping list. The fact that I was hungry was messing with my concentration so I got some Blazing Squash Chili for a late lunch with some crackers. It was amazing.

Here is the shopping list so far

Here are some pictures of some weird cheese I saw as well

I went all over the store and looked at everything.

Later after I was done I walked to Dairy Queen and looked at their cakes. I think I really will get an ice cream cake from them for my birthday. I think that will be super fun.  I am turning 26 on July 4th.

After I was done and walked home I had some vegetarian stir fry that mom made. I think it had peas, kale, quinoa, almonds and cheese. It was great and really filling. I aspire to become a vegetarian someday, so it was really interesting for me.

The day was pretty normal after that. I did make a list of my favorite candy though. This is off my facebook.

MY FAVORITE CANDY IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER.

Hot Tamales (any kind)
Symphony (toffee / Blue letter one)
Sixlets
Black Licorice
Pay Day
Mr. Goodbar
Milkyway
Big Hunk
Hershey's Cookies and Cream
Ghirardelli mango chocolate
Lindt assorted chocolates
Baby Ruth
Heath
Bob's peppermint balls or sticks. Also all natural peppermint twists.
Starburst
Cherry Jolly Ranchers
Salt Water Taffy
Take 5
Necco Wafers
Hichew

Anyway for the rest of today I just listened to music, watched Goosebumps, took a nap and played iPhone games.

Zevia

Today wasn't very interesting. I just hung around watching Goosebumps and drinking grape flavored Zevia. Goosebumps has been amazing, if you haven't watched it in a while you should. Anyway, here are some pictures to make up for today being so boring. I DID take a walk today so I could tan my shoulders more but that is about it.

And then Savage Chickens.

Scavenger Hunt

Today I woke up at 11 and ate breakfast. I wanted to go somewhere and so I decided today was a great day to go to the gym. It’s been a while because I didn’t know I had a working bus pass. I got my tank top and shorts on and packed everything I needed for the gym including some extra clothes. When I was ready I went out the door and headed to the bus stop. I waited around 20 minutes for the bus and then got on I was glad to be on it for the first time in weeks. When we got to the mall I decided that I was going to go get some deodorant from Dollar Tree first before anything else. I can’t believe I forgot that one important item out of everything. I was running low anyway, so i guess I would have ended up getting it soon anyway.

I walked to Dollar Tree in the blazing heat and knew I was going to get sun burned with the combination of that and the fact that I waited for the bus earlier for so long. I was tempted to buy some other things, but walked out of the store with just deodorant in the end. I immediately headed straight for the gym after this.

When I was at the gym I just did cardio on the stair mill, eliptical, and bike. I also did some swimming and sat in the hot tub for a bit though. I also did the steam room and earlier the sauna right before I swam. Pool noodles semed to be popular today because the guy I was sharing a lane with and some other people were using them today. My ears don’t like water very much and so sometimes I use them to keep my head out of the water. Sometimes I’m fine, but I didn’t want to get water in my ears today because I have to keep my headphones out of my ears for a few days when that happens.

I cleaned up and packed my things after I was done swimming and headed to the mall where luckily we were having FHE (Family Home Evening) today! We were given a list of things and actions we had to do as a group (there were 5 groups) and we had to take pictures of these things. Some of the things included taking a picture of a manaquin wearing something blue, dressing up in funny clothes, taking a picture in the Disney store, and taking a picture with a bear. There were other things of course, and we had a lot of fun looking for them. We finished all the the listexcept for 4 things. I was actually happy I didn’t win becauseI am there almost every other day and I feel I would have felt like a cheater. Some other groups did better or just as good or were just barely behind us. We had rocket pops after we were done and took a picture. They accidentally got me while I was adjusting my blue headband. I look totally weird in the picture.

I got a ride home with someone from the ward after and they drove me to the church were originally everyone but me started out. We all parted ways after this and I walked home. I had chicken and a mango for dinner when I got home. The rest isn’t really important. I did watch a few episodes of Goosebumps. I’ve started watching that again. I forgot how good it is!

Father's Day

It certainly is summer now for sure. Yesterday and today were both blazing hot. I can't say I mind much though because I love spring and summer a lot. I have always prefered to be hot over cold unless if I am overheated or dehydrated.

Saturday we celebrated Sam's birthday, he turned two! We went up to this park near Salt Lake City and some of Kayla's relatives (Paul's wife) were there and also Sam's friend that was turning 3 as well and his relatives and some other friends. We were under a shaded canopy or whatever it is called, you can see in the pictures below. We had pizza, fruit kabobs, and later vanilla raspberry cake with vanilla ice cream. The pizza was from Costco and was great as usual. The cake was made by Kayla and you can also see that below. We just hung out at the park, the kids went and played on the splash pad, and us adults just sat around and talked. I didn't do much talking, but I did walk around and look at everything. If you don't know what a splash pad is you can see it below. It's that water covered place that all the kids are playing in. Sadly I didn't know what a splash pad was and so I didn't realize that I should bring a bathing suit.

I was blazing hot and ready to go. The party was over after almost an hour and a half I think, but it felt longer. Today I learned that I don't like to hold still in hot weather unless if I am under some kind of water like a sprinkler or something. After mom and dad were done talking to people we headed to the freeway where we droveto the Whole Foods store. That store is great and I'd never been in one before. Mom and dad picked up a few things and I tried a bag of funky naturally colored potato chips. I hope that Whole Foods comes closer because I want to explore their store more, it is so awesome.

We went to Costco next, I'll have to tell you more about whole foods some other time with pictures. At Costco it was fun because it was a different costco than we usually go to and so everything was in a different place. They were givng out free Creamies today and some other samples like pound cake it was fun. Oh there was this one sampl that was bread, turkey and cheese or something, it was so good! I didn't pay much attention to what mom and dad got so I can't really tell you other than eggs and some produce stuff maybe. After costco dad and I went into Home Depot and picked up a new sprinker and I looked at those sprinkler nozzles that have settings that you can change. I have always wanted one of those, but I forgot about them for a while I guess!

We went home after this and just did a bunch of random stuff like played runescape, watched anime, stuff that isn't important or interesting.

Today was father's day and we had Parmesan chicken with potatoes and salad for dinner. Mom and Laura were experimenting with coconut flower and made some really interesting cookies that turned out to be a complete flop. They were edible but we probably won't try baking with coconut flower again. I personally liked the chocolate chip cookies even though they were a bit weird. These cookies were a special request from Dad. I was taking a nap sadly so I didn't help at all with them. I am really glad I have awesome parents that love to experiment with cooking even though it doesn't always work.

In church we just walked about repentance, and forgiveness, and some other things I'm blanking out. In temple prep we talked about what we need to do to become worthy of entering the temple it was a fun lesson! We talked about the Holy Ghost in the 3rd hour and it was an interesting lesson also!

I am looking forward to the start of a new week. I think It's going to be interesting.

Limits

Today I thought we were going to celebrate my nephew Sam's birthday, but turns out it is tomorrow. I am glad I cleaned up and got ready to go out though because today I ended up going out. Occasionally I'll play this game called "Limits" that is what I choose to call it. Limits is a game where you chose an amount under $10 or $15 and you see what you end up buying. My only rules for myself are that if it is food I have to really like it, and if it is an item it can't be anything I'm going to end up throwing away soon. These rules make me really think before I buy, and it makes it more fun.

Today's game of limits I did a $3 limit. I hadn't gone out for a while and I wanted something challenging that would make me go to more than one place. I ended up taking a bus (that was very late) to the mall. I didn't look at much in the mall because I already had 3 things in mind for the game. At that point in time I was going to get some ice cream, get 3 things from Dollar Tree, or some sort of treat from Harmon's on the way back if I didn't find anything. I wanted ice cream to be a last resort, so I headed to Dollar Tree first. On my way to Dollar Tree I made a stop at Joanne's and looked at their fabric for a while. I found a few I really loved! I am thinking of just making my own bedding instead of buying some.

I was going to go look through more than the fabric, but I changed my mind and went to Dollar Tree. I didn't find much there, and the stuff i was interested in I'm not ready to buy yet. I looked through their 4th of July stuff and found some cool decorations but I don't want to buy anything 4th of July themed yet. I also found cute piggy banks in assorted colors and some peppermint candy that I am kind of fond of. I looked through the whole store, but wasn't super interested in anything they had to be honest. I can get 4ht of July stuff later and so I left the store empty handed.

It had been a few hours since I left by this time and I walked back to the mall. I looked at Claire's in the mall to make sure they didn't have anything on clearance, and I also got a chocolate sample from See's candies since I haven't done that in a while. In the end I ended up not getting anything until I went to Harmon's on my way back home. I picked up a turkey pot pie for dinner that was on sale for only $2.29! I headed home after this and made it after I had a little bit of ice cream. I was blazing hot from walking out in the sun and I couldn't get a ride home because everybody was gone. The pie was great and I watched some anime while I ate it. I've been working on watching the first series of Fullmetal Alchemist again. Both series are great, and it's been a while since I have watched the old version. There are two versions of the series, one is more accurate to the Japanese manga than the other.

The rest of tonight wasn't really that exciting. I've just been watching random videos about people taste testing foods from other countries. I find people's point of view on food to be interesting.

Anyway, I guess this is all.

Loyalty

I am a very honest person and so I only expect honesty in return no doubt.

People might wonder why I am so picky about friends. I make it no secret that while anyone can become my friend I only think of a few people as TRUE friends. My true friends aren't nessicarily friends that I hang out with a lot or people that I talk to a lot. I judge true friends based off of the things that are the most important to me. If you are loyal, honest, kind, confident, positive, charismatic, encouraging, understanding, creative, and motivated you are more likely to become one of my favorite people. This of course is just naming a few things I look for in a true friend.

I know that expecting all my true friends to have all these great qualities in abundance isn't really realistic. I have a lot of different kinds of friends in general, so of course I would understand that I can't have everything perfect. I do feel like at LEAST 3 or 4 of my true friends have all these qualities in a great quantity, even if all of them don't always realize it. Energy is also really important to me. Some peoples energy just attracts me more than others giving them an advantage. Most of the friends I consider as true friends I feel have amazing energy that always gets my attention. From my point of view everyone has a different feeling about then or an electrical energy and some are more attractive to me than others. It's a sad but true fact that if your energy isn't right than you probably won't have much of a chance of getting close to me. Some people might think this is unfair, but it's the way I've always worked so I just roll with it.

Of course I wouldn't demand qualities from a friend that I can't match. I know my potential as a friend and I always try my best to be there for my friends and I always let them know that I care. I know I'm quiet and sometimes fly off of peoples radar, but I am always watching and I always care. I am a really loyal person to those that deserve my loyalty. If you are a true friend to me it only makes sense that I will be a true friend to you. Because I have had turbulent relationships and I've had people leave me behind I understand how important qualities like this are. I have been betrayed so I understand how important it is to never do that to anyone. I never want to hurt anyone and I never will because I have been hurt. I could have chosen to be bitter and to be negative and depressed, but thankfully I took the other road and I'll never regret that. If there is one thing that I am proud of it is my loyalty and friendship.

I just want my friends to know once more that even though I am pretty much nearly mute most of the time I do care and I do watch. Words aren't really everything, and I prefer actions most of the time. Words paired with actions are extremely powerful. The only reason I bother to type stuff like this out is that I know I can and will back it up with actions.

It's Finally Gone

My copy of my blog that was on Xanga is finally gone. I didn't know how to get rid of it without subscribing again, but I finally figured it out. I'm really glad that that chapter of my life is through. I loved Xanga, but the current Xanga is only a shell of it's former self and I'd rather have that copy of my blog remain just a memory. If I had let it exist the way Xanga is now I feel like it would have been an insult to the whole blog. All my other Xanga friends moved on and ended their blog on Xanga so it was only right that I did the same. I am glad that it is finally gone and I don't have to think about it anymore.

We had Hungry Howie's pizza for dinner tonight. Dad got Hawaiian, pepperoni pizza, breadsticks, and root beer. After being stressed out about dinner for a while we all decided to go the easy route. Today was a simple nice day and I watched anime on Netflix and took a couple of walks though they were very hot. As much as I have loved taking a break and not going somewhere every day for a couple of weeks I'm going to enjoy being active again and going to the gym. I wish I had known that my school bus pass had been active this whole time because I would have done a lot more this month. I guess it's better now than later. I am a bit low on money, even after mom fixed my problems, but I am a creative person.

I love this blog and I am looking forward to starting the improvements. :)

Plans For My Blog

EDIT: I finally figured out how to get a new template and now my blog has a new look! I just basically had to redesign from scratch and it worked. Hope you love my new 4th of July theme.

The audio basically tells about some of my plans for my blog that I will be doing in the future. I will be inserting Audio, editing and fixing stuff like some missing pictures, font, and thoughts that should have been there but that I was too in a hurry to do in the past. I talk about both my Wordpress and my blogger blog and how I used to blog on Xanga. I talk about customizing the look of my blog again soon probably. I will probably be adding more videos, pictures, thoughts and other stuff to my blog in the future and adding them as back posts to make my previous posts more interesting. You should try and listen to this though it is fun. I used to do audio blogs like this all the time.

Around the World

Today was pretty simple but fun as well. I got to go to Bed Bath and Beyond after I took two quick trips to sign something at Vocational Rehab and to get my bus pass at UVU. I found out today that I am probably getting my glasses next week and that my bus pass from last years school semester WAS ACTIVE THIS WHOLE TIME! I am kind of irritated at that fact because I could have been using it this whole time if I had only known it was still active.

Anyway mom and I had fun looking at all the stuff in Bed Bath and Beyond like the bedding, kitchen stuff, and bathroom stuff. I didn't find any bedding I liked, but the other stuff was cool. I've always been fond of that store a lot. I also found some measuring cups and spoons I want to buy to replace the ones I have now that are pretty cheap.

After my shopping trip with mom we went home and I had some ice cream and hung out at home watching stuff on Netflix.

My ward was going to go hiking up to Stuart falls today, but we had to postpone it because it started raining and thundering. Instead we went to the church and played games like "Catchphrase" and I played some "Around the World" with some of my friends. It's been a while since I have played basketball or any basketball related games so it was fun! Here is a video.

Later tonight I ended up defending the cat against the dog because she has a bad habit of bugging her. I also spent some time watching the first series of Fullmetal Alchemist. I just feel like watching it again. Anyway, that is pretty much all for today. I love the rain and hope it rains again tomorrow.

Summer Fest

This weekend was pretty fun (and blazing hot)! Summer Fest was this week and I hung out with Laura all day Saturday and later mom and dad showed up for the parade in the evening. We left around 1:30pm and when we got to Smiths where we parked we got out some blankets and found a nearby place to set them down so we would have a place for the parade in the evening. We noticed that the breeze was decent and so we went into Smiths and bought some water bottles to weigh our blanket down. I also bought some hostess snacks at Smiths which is something I VERY RARELY do. We went to the park where everything was happening after this and I ate my snacks. There were SO MANY BOOTHS! I bought a desert rose rock that I energy bonded with from one of the booths, it is so beautiful. There is a picture below somewhere. Here is a short video of some of today's events though including the booths.

Here is the desert rose rock.

After we looked at the booths and all the cool stuff people were selling we got some rickets and rode some of the rides they had. There wasn't anything too scary, just a bunch of rides that pretty much spun you around including the gravitron, tea cups, and some others that spun you around in the air. I think the video above has a short clip in it somewhere near the end of some of the rides. One of them was called the Star Trooper and it spun you in the air at a weird angle and the gravity made your feet feel really uncomfortable. I also went on the merry go round because I'm kind of old fashioned like that.

We had a lemon snow cone and after the rides we had more snow cones. Laura's second one was lime and mine was cherry. At some point during our time therw we also took a break and listened to some music by the "Good Bone" band. Laura and I also bought some food from one of the booths. I got a pretzel with cheese and she got a strawberry funnel cake. She let me eat some of her funnel cake it was amazing and so was my pretzel though I had to brush off SOME of the salt that was on it. Here are more pictures.

Later we went back to our blanket and waited for the parade to start. We were at the end of the parade route so we had to wait a bit longer than some other people. I think I want to actually be in a parade next year. I think I have outgrown just watching them. The only thing I was really watching for was the UVU float which I got in the video above as well. I want to be one of those people that throws candy at people in parades. I am thinking of doing that on my birthday, it sounds really fun. I think the funnest thing about parades for me currently is the kids on the sides, they are always getting excited about the candy and I just think its cute and funny.

Laura and I ordered pizza and then later after mom and dad came I went to Panda express and got some teriyaki chicken and veggies. A little later right before the fireworks Laura and I went to Zupas because she was hungry and I got a salted carmel crembrulee that was amazing. The fireworks started not to long after that and they were pretty cool. After everything was done we just headed home.

After we got home I was exhausted and ready to just relax. I spend some time splaying Runescape and then went to bed.

Sister Luke came home from her vacation in Europe, she is the one that usually give me rides to church along with my friend Whitney who is moving soon. She brought me a greek yogurt honey bar thing that was blueberry flavored. I ate it when I got to church and it was amazing. It aws kind of melted so it was really sticky but I loved it a lot. Today at church we talked aout stuff like family hostory but most of today is a blur.

After church we had Texas beef skillet with cheese, lettuce and whatever other toppings we wanted on it. I eat mine with chips. Yesterday was also Paul's wife Kayla's birthday and we celebrated today because it was better for our side of the family. we just had a lot of ice cream mainly and everyone but me played board games. I watched the Powerpuff Girls and some other stuff on Netflix. Later I had grilled cheese just for the heck of it. I don't think anything else happened tonight. I guess this is all for this post.

The Interview

today was fabulous and I'm glad I got to go out today.

I cleaned up and had Cheerios for breakfast today. I was so excited to go to my interview later this afternoon. Today was a gorgeous day and I wore some of my new summer clothes that I got last month and this month. After I was ready and got a few makeup items for later when I had my interview. Interviews are one of the few times I actually wear makeup, it just seems appropriate.

I hung out at home and listened to music before I left around 1:30pm. When Laura took dad to work she also took me to the mall. First however, she took me to Harmons and we got gas and I went inside of Harmons and grabbed a thing of gum and a small thing of mouthwash. I also got a maple pecan Kind bar for later and then we left. Laura stopped by the house quickly and then we left for the mall.

For the next few hours  I just walked around the mall. I was way too excited to just stay home and I haven't been out shopping for a while so it was great. I put on a little foundation and lip gloss before the interview and it was pretty simple when the time came. They gave me a free drink and asked me a few simple questions like if I had ever worked with food before, about my personality, and basic stuff. They said they will call me back some time to give ma n answer. I am not going to get my hopes up of course, that would be foolish. It will be great if I do get the job though, I need the money so badly!

I ate at Melty Way after that and then went out for ice cream.

Mango peach with mango sauce and coconut.

I went back to the mall after this and hung out for a while. I went to H&M and took some new pictures for facebook.

Laura still had the car but luckily she called me when she just happened to be at the food court and I went there. We had Apple desserts from Taco Bell. I won't even try to spell the name, but it's some kind of Apple Carmel dessert that is amazing. Laura also got some Chinese food as well. After this we went looking around kholes and she got some new shirts. The rest of the day after we went home after this isn't really important. I was pretty exhausted.

The Call

Today I was playing Runescape and watching the Powerpuff Girls and I saw my phone started to ring. I answered and it turned out to be a call about an interview for Melty Way! I LOVE Melty Way and I applied there a while ago.
I am so excited and on top of that we had some pretty awesome thunderstorms today. Anyway, in celebration I made grilled chicken and cheese tonight.

later tonight I was watching the powerpuff girls and I caught a Zelda parody in one of the scenes.

That is pretty much it. I'm going to go back to eating organic fruit snacks and my PPG marathon.

Root Canal

I don't feel like I need over explain. I basically woke up really early, listened to some music for a while, fell back asleep, and got a root canal. Dr. Creer was amazing and I didn't feel anything. Here are some freaky pictures! I mostly slept a lot after I got home and didn't have much of an appetite. I'm probably going to be being careful with that side of my mouth for a couple of weeks until Dr. Perry can finish the work and give me a filling.
