Remember Quizilla and AOL journals? That is where my blogging journey began. Sadly, both of those old journals from high school are gone. I wasn’t able to salvage either because by the time I wanted to they had been shut down. Quizilla changed a lot after Nickelodeon took over. I joined before that happened.

Both were pretty much just about high school and boys I liked. Silly stuff like that. I think my AOL journal talked more about high school than my Quizilla journal, but I don’t remember clearly sadly. I’m not super sad about my Quizilla journal being lost, but my AOL journal was a loss to me because I had more written in it.

So that is where my blogging origins are. That was clear back in 2006 when I started being a heavy internet user and was a senior in high school. Time flies really fast!

Almost 10 years ago in August 2008 I created my first WordPress blog. I think I created it on another account than what I use now though. I blogged on wordpress for a couple of weeks only I think. I moved to Xanga not long after I started blogging in the same month. I had a little interest in Xanga before WordPress, but it wasn’t until I checked the site over a second time that I discovered I liked it more than I thought.

Xanga was my favorite blogging site and I’m still sad that it is what it has become. I blogged on Xanga from August 2008 all the way to when it had it’s terrible reboot. I tried other blogging sites like tumblr, the old version of blogger, livejournal, WordPress again and a few others. In 2011 after Google re did blogger and made it better I started blogging on both Xanga and blogger. I nearly left Xanga a whole bunch of times, but I always came back. I think one of the reasons why is because people read what I write. It was easy to be discovered on Xanga. I even made it onto the front page a couple of times! Also, they had this really cool feature where you could upload audio. I used to do Audio blogs on there too.

My username was Empathic_Heart, those were good times. I’ve been on blogger ever since I lost Xanga. Same blog, different place. I didn’t import to my new wordpress because I consider this blog to be my private blog now and I have a desire to start over with my blog on wordpress. That is an entirely separate blog. A lot of things happened last year and I didn’t write at all. I feel like I should leave that era of my blog in the past for the most part. That is why I am mostly not writing on here much anymore for now. I might post here and there.

Anyway, I’ve tried a few of the newer blogging sites as well, but I just decided to stick with blogger and WordPress. I’m happier that way.

And now onto another era of writing. I can’t wait to see what I make of this.

I Wish it Would Never End

So it's been a few days since I started reading a manga called "Glass Mask". From the very first day I started reading it I fell in love with the story line. Glass Mask is about a girl that loves acting, the whole manga is absolutely brilliant in every way, very creative, inspiring and the plays it portrays leave you on the edge of your seat. Today I reached the latest chapter, that is I am caught up in the manga to the most current chapter.

There are 2 things I hate when I am reading a manga. First when one ends, especially when I really liked reading it. The other thing I hate though is waiting for the next chapter to come out. Most of you know the experience of wanting to know what happens next in a book, or TV, it's the same thing here. Lucky for me and other people that read manga that there are a lot of different manga so when I am waiting for the next chapter to come out I can just go read another one.

My sister made chocolate chip cookies today, it's been a while since she did that. She is allergic to gluten, so for a while we didn't do that. I don't know anything about making gluten free cookies, but the ones she made tonight were good. I think I must have eaten like 4 or 5 of them (haha). While in the process of eating the cookies tonight we also dwindled our milk supply down the 0% sadly. I guess I won't be eating chocolate cereal tomorrow for breakfast after all. I guess I'll have to improvise.

Today's sunset brought an impressive display of pink and orange clouds. It was very pretty and yes I did get a picture of course.

Speaking of clouds it did rain a little bit today as well. Some time in the midst of the rain or after it rained Darik snapped a picture of a rainbow on his phone and uploaded it to Instagram. It's a really pretty picture. Here is a link to the picture.

Anyway, the rain made the air smell heavenly, i was outside for about 20 minutes I think taking pictures and smelling the fresh air it was amazing. Sadly I did not see the rainbow that happened for myself, though I wish I had seen it. I think I was inside trying to finish the last few episodes of the "Glass Mask" anime. "Glass Mask" is also an anime by the way.  I did end up finishing it by the way, and it was a really great anime, even though they never did finish it completely.

I know I've been a little absent on Xanga lately. I have trouble with procrastinating a little bit. I seem to be doing that a lot lately, i should really stop. I suppose me starting to blog on blogger as well will open an opportunity to catch up and fill in the blanks on both of my blogs. It wasn't to too long ago actually a few hours ago I started setting up my blog on blogger. I'm really looking forward to having my blog in 2 places at once again. Some of you know I used to blog on Tumblr, but quit because they have no adult content filter and I was tired of running into stuff I did not want to see.

I was thinking of going to Harmon's for fun a few hours ago to get some stuff to eat, I changed my mind though.I was going to get some chicken and potatoes and macaroni and cheese, but I decided to just stick with what I had at home. I think that was healthier than going to Harmon's anyway. I don't think I have been eating healthy today anyway so that was smart.

Anyway, I'm going to go play Tetris for a while before I go to bed. I usually always do that, it helps me sleep better.

I guess that is all for now. Nothing else has really happened today. If I forgot anything I will just mention it in a future post.

Oh, and if you see posts appear that are of an earlier date that means I have begun moving my blog posts from Xanga to here. Pretty soon it will look like I have been blogging on here for the last 3 years. You won't even be able to notice I just made this blog today. :)

Turned Off By Tumblr

So some of you know that I have been posting on Tumblr as well as Xanga lately. Truthfully I did stop posting on Xanga for a while because of this, but I came back after a few months. I have a few reasons why I am turned off by Tumblr somewhat so I don't ever plan to make it my primary blog. The way I see it Xanga offers me more and I feel like I can do more with it. I am not overwhelmed by Xanga, it has a decent amount of people but not to many and not to little for my taste. I find it easy to find blogs I like and the people are friendly.

I have a few things I do not like about Tumblr. For one thing I can not completely customize the look on Tumblr like I can on Xanga. this has always been a turn off for me. I do not like to fork out money for that kind of thing if I can help it.

I had 5 followers on my Tumblr, 2 of those people were really creepy, this is a major turn off for me. This is another reason why I do not like Tumblr as much as I like Xanga, it is easier to run into gross, perverted, creepy blogs. I have a filter on Xanga so i don't run into that kind of thing. Thank you Xanga for providing this. <3

I don't know about other people but I find that finding blogs I like on Xanga is easier than finding blogs on tumblr that I like. I feel like I have to go through all the junk that I don't want to see sometimes on Tumblr to get to the blogs that I like.

I feel like people actually read my blog on Xanga and care what I say, I do not get this feeling from tumblr at all.

Anyway, the point is that I am kind of turned off by Tumblr a little bit now with all this stuff that has been happening to me while trying to get more into it, especially those few really creepy people that were following me... ew.
