Melting Hot Day

I spent quite a lot of time today on Instagram. I like to spend time on it every once in a while because I love uploading, and seeing other people's awesome photos. My favorite ones tend to be the more colorful ones. I uploaded these today. Here are the explanations first.

1. Home Made Mini Pizza

2. Our Cat Cookie 4 years ago

3. The first piece of digital art I ever did

4. My sticker from when I was on the tonight show 2 years ago. I'm sure you can find the blog post somewhere in April, or May 2010 I think it was.

5. Our notorious broken mailbox. (It doesn't shut close right, and it leans funny. )

6. Our now empty China Hutch.

7. Random photo of me I took on my B-day last year. I haven't changed much.

8. Fever Few, and Lavender.

It was blazing hot today, like make your back sweat kind of hot. I had to do something. This is part of what I did today.

today was a pretty lazy day today, except for a few times when I went outside. One of those times was for number 8. We have a lot of lavender and Fever Few growing in our backyard.  I'll have to tell you about my backyard in a different post, there is actually quite a bit to tell.

I spent a lot of the day watching Netflix and sweating like crazy because no one turned on the cooler. Our swamp cooler can be a little complicated sometimes, so I try not to fiddle with it usually.

If our hose wasn't broken I would probably have gone outside and sprayed myself with it. We have one in the backyard too, but that one is also kind of broken, and i try not to play with it.

We had tacos for dinner, they were great. My dad put some beans and stuff in with the meat and it was actually really good.

We found some peas in our garden, but they were kind of old. They were good, but we waited a little too long to pick them out of our garden. I really have to get more into gardening sometime. My grandpa loved gardening. I would so love to learn as much as he knew about it.

I think this is all for tonight. I don't think I forgot anything particularly interesting. I am feeling a bit brain dead tonight though, so if i did forget anything I'll just tell you tomorrow.

Seeing People

So I had ward FHE (Family Home Evening) tonight. We usually do some kind of activity or have a lesson and have refreshments afterwards. Tonight we went around in groups visiting inactive people that haven't been to church or haven't been to our ward in a while that are supposed to. We got together in groups and picked people to visit. I was in a group with 2 other people from my ward, Elisa and Richie.

I have to admit I felt a little uncomfortable at the prospect of confronting people about not being in church. I had never done it before tonight so it was an interesting experience for me. I almost backed out a few times but I am glad I went now. It wasn't as weird as I thought it would be. We joked a little how it was a little bit like we were Jehovah's Witnesses since there were 2 girls and a guy. That part of the conversation was pretty funny.

We visited 2 people, one was named Paul, and the other one I don't remember what his name was but he was pretty interesting. The one with the name I can't remember was the one we visited first. Apparently Richie and Elisa were really familiar with the family and they were able to just walk right into the house. The guy we visited liked guns a lot, and he is going to gun smith school pretty soon. It was a pretty interesting visit, the guy really likes gun a lot, we don't think he will be coming to the ward, he seemed a little preoccupied with his future plans. The family was pretty nice, it was a good experience.

We visited this guy named Paul next. We were going to visit him first but he was busy with something else so we came back after we saw the other guy. He never really gave us a clear answer as to if he was going to come to our ward again, but he seemed promising. At least we got a better response than we did from the other guy. We talked about what we are doing for school and for jobs, and what we are planning for the future. We talked about foreign languages, and a few other things. We were offered home made donuts, I took one it was a chocolate one and was very good. It was a really interesting visit, and I really enjoyed listening to the conversation. I didn't talk at all when we visited the other guy but they managed to get a whole sentence out of me for this visit. I just mentioned something about how my brother knows a few languages. I left most of the talking to other people.  Paul was taking this school year off and he was just working. I don't know if we will see him, but I guess we will see.

After we got done visiting these two people we went to Harmon's. We were in charge of refreshments, this is why we went there. We got some pumpkin cookies and Oreo's. We then drove back to the church, to the pavilion where we met at first and ate the refreshments. It was pretty dark by the time we got finished with visiting so i turned on my iPhone flashlight so we could see.

I went home not to long after we ate the refreshments. I spent the rest of the night up until now just reading manga, watching anime and doing stuff on facebook. Nothing much has happened today, other than what we did for FHE.

Darik did join Instagram though. It is a photography iPhone app. Dylan has been on it for a wile but until today Darik wasn't. He has already put up some pretty good photos. I am excited to see what he adds in the future. I also became active on Instagram today again as well. Here are a few photos I added today.

Going to bed soon so I guess I will stop here.
