Just for Today

I am not attending my home ward for church, but today the stake that my home ward is in had a BBQ and a pool party. Laura made cookies and we brought some to the BBQ. I was kind of surprised there weren't more cookies to be honest. I think there were more last year. Tons of people came and we had hot dogs and sloppy joes along with chips, salad and watermelon. Someone did bring white chocolate rice krispy treats. I think I liked those better than the cookies. There was also ice cream, but I didn't feel like any. I am going back off sugar like I've said before soon. I was going to start again a couple of days ago, but don't feel like now is the time. Just for today I let myself go completely crazy food wise.

The pool party was fun. I didn't stay in the pool for long. I was more interested in the cold sprinklers. they did have quite a variety of them. I love splash pads, they are fun. Here is a very short video of the pool. The splash pad with the sprinklers is at the beginning.

Anyway, I had the day off work today. I started playing Talos Principal a little bit today and have just been relaxing. the game is cool and it is a puzzle game with some elements that would seem familiar to someone who has played the Portal games. I'm only a little way through it, but I love it so far. Actually something that happened in the game made me want to write today. I know I haven't for a while. The scene is sort of hard to explain, at least now, but it had to do with someone realizing the importance of recording experiences.

For some reason when I went to the park earlier I was in kind of a cranky mood. I just get that way on occasion, I don't know why. I suppose it's because I've been kind of bad about my eating habits today. I really don't know. I'm glad tomorrow is fast Sunday. I'll be able to give my body a reset.

Sometimes i Feel Like a Fish

Sometimes my love for water surprises even me. I really love water, and I think the longest I have been in it was something like 14 hours in a pool years back. I never get tired of water it is just so awesome. Sometimes I feel like a mermaid, or a fish.

I went swimming for about 4 and a half hours today. I just went to our local pool. It has 2 water slides, a kids pool, and an adult pool and some pretty cool sprinklers. Tonight my church threw a really big party at this pool and they had stuff like free brownies, cookies, slushies, chips and drinks. It was pretty fun.

Addressing the fact that I did not write yesterday before I go any further with this. You do not have to worry, nothing really happened yesterday worth writing about. i did have some really good salmon, and potatoes for dinner though. Speaking of dinner, I had tacos today, before I left for the pool.

The pool is pretty fun. I'll show the pictures. I usually don't get to take pictures because usually when I go swimming I don't bring my phone. This is not Seven Peaks, it is a different local pool.

The kids pool

The adult pool

In the center is a place with jets, around the center is a little river like thing that goes around in circles and has a current.  a rope separates that part, and the part where people end up when they go down the slides.

A shot of the slides.

The next four are photos of the various sprinklers and water contraptions they have there. These give out very cold water, it feels awesome on a blazing hot day like today was.

Anyway, I would love to write more but my brain is starting to give out now, i"m so tired. I will undoubtedly edit this tomorrow with more details and thoughts.

14 Days

Here we go, 2 weeks in 1 post. I will go backwards.  (all the photos are from my Instagram (Empathic_Heart)

EDIT: Photos are up! I'll edit again when I put the videos.

Let's start with today first. It was pretty sunny and hot today. I went to Seven Peaks for a few hours with my sister, ben, and my nieces. Sometimes I have a bad habit of still calling him my brother in law, when he is no longer my brother in law. I just noticed that a few weeks ago.

I went down this tube slide that is very dark called "Cave in". I actually went down it twice, and the 2nd time the lifeguard accidentally sent me down backwards. It was so scary because there is quite a few twists and turns and some minor drops. I of course couldn't see where I was going because I was facing backwards and because it was dark. It was so much fun going backwards though. I got a bit dizzy for a minute or two after I went on for the 2nd time.

I also went down a regular slide called "Flash Flood" before they closed. They have two slides side by side and people like to race. I raced with my sister. It's called "Flash Flood' because they actually release a flood of water to help you start at the beginning. My sister beat me down. I got some water in my nose at the bottom because I got disoriented fora  second in the water and had to let go of my nose. it kind of stung a little, but it was okay.

I spent some time in the wave pool for a while and did the regular rubs slide a few times. I also did some tanning.

We had a picnic at the water park sometime during the time we were there. We had to go tot he park's picnic area. We had sand witches, granola bars, cheez its, Oreos, and Capri Sun.

Besides this I have just been watching Lincoln Heights on Hulu Plus Listening, to music, and watching Sailor Moon.  I actually finished the Alien arc, it's the 2nd arc in the anime, and hung around the house.

Today is also the day I was SUPPOSED to be born according to the doctors.  I was born on the 4th though as you will see further down.

My sister's new music video came out today.

The 16th

There is this charity event they hold every Monday night around 9pm. They have people vote on a movie, and then we watch it out doors. It's called 'Flix for Charity'. We have it behind our local Elementary school. This week we couldn't have it though, because we were sure the weather was going to stay rainy, windy, and cloudy. It ended up clearing up in the evening before the time we usually have it, but it stayed cancelled until next week. They were going to show "the Princess Bride'.

We were going to do a water fight at the nearby park as well, but that was cancelled. That was what we were going to do for ward Family Home Evening.  We ended up going to Marcie's house and reading our favorite children's stories. Marcie gave us some chocolate covered gummy snakes to try that were from Australia. I didn't ready anything, but other people had some pretty great stories.

The weather on this day started out nice, but turned cloudy, windy, and rainy, and then cleared up again.

The 15th

I just went to church as usual. I don't remember what we talked about, it's kind of blurry now.

My mom made Creamed tuna and eggs over rice. It's actually pretty good. We also had some left over garlic bread from the night before. We had a whole loaf left.
We finished off the leftover of the day before that I will mention in a bit.

My sister in law, Kyla came over with my niece, and my brother again. It's always nice to see them.

Ward prayer was actually held at the house my childhood best friend Brooke used to live in. Someone else lives there now, it was so weird being in that house for the first time in I think 7 or 8 years. It looked a lot different and it made me a little teary eyed and nostalgic.

The weather was cloudy with light sprinkles on this day at first, but cleared up after church rather quickly.

The picture below is Ducky. Some people slept with teddy bears, some people slept with dolls, but I slept with ducky. :)

Just the book I am reading (The 3 in one book that contains the whole entire Elenium series by David Eddings.)

The 14th

We went to Costco, and I bought some bread, hummus, and ice cream bars. I bought some pizza and a smoothie on my way out with my sister since she went and got something too. It was windy and cloudy
It rained a little, and I walked in it. It felt really extra nice. This was actually before Costco.

My sister made tuna casserole, and Ben (my ex brother in law) bought some snicker doodles, the garlic bread we are the day after, and some Oreo and Reese's ice cream.

We all stretched for a while while watching Robin Hood on Netflix before dinner. Ben was instructing Natalie and teaching her about stretches. I was actually doing a mixture of stretching and doing resistance cord workouts.

The 12th and 13th

Honestly nothing worth noting happened on these days. I just did my usual and played phone games. I finally figured out Robot Unicorn though. And Friday the 13th happened, that is always a good day.

My family loves popcorn. Home made popcorn is like a tradition.

The 11th

Got to know one of my sister's friends that just happens to be a writer for Phineas and Ferb.

My sister is doing something for Phineas and ferb, but I will not spoil it.

I ordered the Phineas, Ferb, and Perry plushies off of the Disney Store.

I did a post on Xanga. The stuff above happened after that post.

My bandannas below. I have them in every color except for orange, light red, and light blue.

The 10th
Nothing happened besides my usual stuff around the house,

I learned that there is going to be a New Sailor Moon anime next year in 2013. I started reading the manga, and watching the old series over again. I also told my friends about the new series. I met a lot of my friends on a Sailor Moon fan site 6 years ago and we are still friends now. We are actually pretty close. I made so many friends on that website. i'll have to tell you the story sometime.

Just some digital art i uploaded to instragram.

The 9th

This is the day I found out about the Flix For Charity thing. They played "cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" last week. I got a text earlier in the day telling me about the movie. At first I just thought that it was a ward thing, but there were so many people there and I found out later that it was a charity thing that they do every week.  I had so much fun and the sky was so clear.  I kind of wished I brought something to eat there though like popcorn or something.

We went to a really pretty park for FHE. It had these swings that could spin around if you pulled the swing a little bit. It also had some really nice pavilions, and a really pretty duck pond. We spent about an hour and a half there doing random stuff. Most of us played volley ball, and some of us (like me) just wandered around. I will put the pictures below.

Random playground shot.

The 8th

Nothing but church and the usual happened. I do remember we had a lesson on the dangers of false doctrine though.

I took this photo of my favorite bag.

The 7th

Went to 7 Peaks water park and did the usual. There are these metal bars on the sides of the wave pool you can hold onto to stay above the waves, I did some pull ups on those while the waves were going.

Went to Best Buy and bought "Tetris Party Deluxe' for DS.

Worked out with my resistance band for the 2nd day. My soreness was about at it's max by now, but not quite. My pull ups didn't help the soreness very much.

The 6th and 5th

Nothing much, just worked out mostly and learned new stretch band workouts.  I was still burned out from the events on my birthday (below).

The 4th

On my birthday I woke up, got dressed in my new khaki shorts, and my red shirt that had silver butterflies, and red and blue stars and part of the butterfly was also red and blue. I'll have to take a picture and show you sometime. I put some snacks in a plastic bag for the parade. I brought some Sun Chips, cheese sticks, and Sobe Lifewater.

We left after this and went to the parade. We managed to find a parking space after forever, it was pretty hard.  My mom wasn't sure if it was okay where it was. We sat at the beginning of the parade rout in a pretty good spot under the shade. We had chairs and stuff too that people said we could sit in. I wanted to sit with my relatives however so after a while my mom made sure our parking spot was safe. I was really insistent on sitting with my relatives, I did not want to sit alone. We walked 8 blocks along the parade route to my relatives and we watched the parade as we went along. I have to admit I regret leaving that spot, it was pretty good.
We watched the rest of the parade with my relatives, and I snacked on my food. We only had to walk 5 blocks back to the car because we could use the short way now that we weren't going along the parade route.

We went to Jamba Juice after this and we all got smoothies. I got a Mega Mango smoothie.

We went home for a while and I just hung around watching Hercules I think.

We went to a picnic after a couple of hours and my Aunt's house. A lot of the people that were at the parade were there.  We had hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, fruit, salad, and some other stuff. I played Flow on my phone and "Where's my Perry?" a lot while I was there.  We had a chocolate cake and sang happy birthday to me while I was there. My aunt bought me the chocolate cake. I actually think I remember there was 2 of them. We also had my cheesecake that I bought the day before.

We went home after spending a few hours there. I logged into Destiny Online which I don't do very often anymore, and hung out with my friends for a little bit.
I was feeling a bit down on this day because sometimes I feel like my birthday really isn't my day, but everyone else's day. We watched "Once Upon a Time on Hulu Plus on our TV for a while and debated weather or not we would go to the fireworks. I was in a kind of bad mood and almost didn't go to the fireworks. We ended up going even though some of us were tired and burned out. We went to some fireworks around Thanksgiving point. I will put the video up below.

Here is a photo, I will also have video a bit later. (edit).

We went up near the mountains around a place where we could see the fire that started the day before after this.  We then went home and did our own thing after this. All in all it was a great day.

The 3rd

I did nothing much this day, just went to Costco and bought some stuff for the parade, bought my cheesecake, and went to Harmons and bought my cheesecake topping (cherry).

Mango Slushie

So today I went swimming again with my sister and her family. Seven Peaks wasn't open today, so we went to another local pool. Before we payed and everything though we went to this nearby snow cone place. They had tons of flavors, and they don't actually serve them in cones, they serve them in cups. I got a medium Mango slushy. We did this before we went swimming to pass the time because we were waiting for i to be 6:00. After 6:00 they make it half price. We just sat there eating slushies until 6:00 and then went in.

We got a locker, and put our clothes and stuff in it. then figured out a place to put our towels and sunscreen and stuff. We got into the pool after this. They have more than one pool where we went. They have one that is from 3 feet and up, they have one that is from 4 feet to 13 feet with lanes and stuff as well, and a diving board over where it is 13 feet. They have two slides, a twisty one, and one that goes straight. The place where the slide ends is attached to this other place that I don't quite know how to describe, it's kind of a river like thing that has a current and goes around in circles, and then it has this space in the middle that is kind of like an unheated hot tub.  There is also this place with all these sprinklers, and fun water falls and stuff, but it is freezing cold. It's a pretty fun pool, we were there for 2 hours. I spent some time with my nieces, and had to fix their goggles a few times, it was pretty fun spending time with them.

I didn't get to go off the diving board, it just slipped my mind, I did do everything else there. Oh, and I forgot to mention they also have a plce where you can get food. I didn't get anything, but they have quite a lot.

Anyway, after wen went swimming we went home and i just went back to what I was doing before i went swimming. I just spent he rest of the night with family and just watching stuff on Netflix, and nothing else of note that i remember.

Fast forward

So instead of painstakingly going all the way back to August of last year and trying to insert all the blog entries I have missed, instead of writing individual blog posts for each day I have missed and trying to pretend like they were always there I am just going to summarize everything that has happened in the last year since last August when I started being slow about blogging. Here we go.

August: I introduced my first baby picture to facebook, cleared up things with Dylan (I was just being dramatic), I wrote a poem called "You Are" which I will show later, I came up with my motto "I float, I fly, but I never touch the ground. I started walking more, I started taking a serious interest in empathy and my empathic abilities, had my mom's and my nieces Birthday, went to Los Harmonos for my nieces birthday, went to the eye doctor (I am still legally blind). I started watching the Twilight zone, I discovered Minecraft, but didn't start playing yet, I went to a back to school church BBQ, I started doing heavy edits on some of my pictures for fun, went to Lagoon (amusement park) with my ward for a church activity, and became really active in Yahoo Answers and Tetris.

September: Got into brain exercise sites like Lumosity and others reached my half way point in weight loss, got a haircut, started reading the Glass Mask manga, continued playing Tetris (that never really wore off remember that). I started walking to the store alone, I joined the Hard Drop Tetris community, got interested in doing T-spins in tetris, did some sunset photography, played a giant game of twister with my church mates, I started using this blog, started using Instagram seriously, listened to my first football game all the way through, it was a really great game. saw Darik and Dylan for the first time in 4 months, got into mines and living statues, got into Masterpiece theater anime, got accepted to uVU, became more conscious about my health and stopped drinking pop, did a whole bunch of tests that helped me figure out what I wanted to do, started playing Minecraft, and had my sister's birthday.

October: I dressed up as a golden queen for Halloween, I gained a few pounds from candy back, I seriously started playing Minecraft, I bought Minecraft, started exerimenting with night time themed nails, started making custom My little Ponies for fun, got into My Little Pony Friendship is Magic in general, lost my liking for all Zynga games after I started playing Minecraft, decided i did not want long hair anymore, nearly destroyed my other creations in Minecraft when I was just trying to destroy one of them with TNT blocks.  LDS general Conference, I got over a little case of depression and finally decided I wanted to go into Psychology instead of English, my motivation and happiness went up this month in general. I also kicked some bad habits.

November: I renewed my subscription to Pandora One, my dad started seriously making bread, a new Tetris app came to the app store, I made my first reading list, celebrated Thanksgiving, started seriously thinking about using my white cane, had my first facebook profile picture that was me as a baby.

December: The power went out for a little bit on the first, cut my hair and regretted it, played my first 100 games in a row on Tetris Friends and won exactly 25 of them, also had one of the luckiest games I have ever played. We started remodeling, tore out all 3 bathrooms and re-did all of them, made an extra room downstairs, painted, did new carpeting, got rid of our ugly brick wall downstairs, got rid of the creaks in the floor, got a new storm door, celebrated Christmas with the family and new, years, everyone caught the flu after Christmas except for me, i only for a minor cold and was lucky. Saw Sam and started to think about letting go of him, switched to the new timeline design on facebook, went to a ward, church Christmas party and brought home lots of candy and stuff. Bought muppet Christmas Carol off of iTunes, finished remodeling the house (upstairs only) Got a new bed set, and moved everything back into my room again. We didn't get the Christmas decorations up until the day before Christmas because of the remodeling.

January: New Year, Dyed my hair again, did some family pictures with everyone, finished carpeting and everything else downstairs (I remember that we finished this month, not last month). My room was finished last month though, also the upstairs obviously.  Started my first semester of college in almost 4 years, took Student Success, choir, psychology, and 2 institute classes (teachings of the Living Prophets and Dating and Courtship), got a new laptop, got my textbooks, did a brain drawing in psychology, worked in a group successfully in psychology for the first time, got off to a really great start in school. I found my favorite study spot in the library, started going to Jamba Juice regularly on Mondays at school. Started eating at school for lunch, went shopping, lived off of 94 dollars this month it was crazy after all the shopping I did. Had my first conversation with a complete stranger over lunch. When i was crossing a street my phone fell out of my pocket, when i realized it was gone I retraced my steps and found it without a scratch on it. It was a busy street.  Got used to reading Textbooks, and memorized the university campus.

February: Got into a show Called "Merlin", pondered how silly Groundhog day really is, finally officially lost interest in Sam, started looking up 5K plans for running, kicked my habit of not drinking enough water, started using the Calorie Count website, went to Cold Stone Creamery and got some Mint Ice cream. Celebrated both my brother's birhdays,  nothing much happened on Valentine's Day except for FHE (family Home Evening) we made valentines, I didn't really make anything that great, I just fooled around mostly and listened to people talk, I think I remember going to the store that day and getting chocolate for fun. I listened to Nightwish's new album for the first time and got hooked on it for a few weeks,  I found out my intense love for stars is called "Astrophillia". Finally got my feelings for Dylan back, I had been numb for a long time after I lost my best friends.  I bought all of Jane Austen's books, joined Pinterest, my ward did a murder mystery night it was fun, and I went back and watched some old Sesame Street videos I liked and thought about the past. I also did some poetry this month but I will post that later. School was doing great this month.

March: Got out my old Marble collection and set it out in the open in my room again, bought some Miyazaki films like Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind,  and the Cat Returns. Had spring break it was kind of borig being out of school.  Started reading the bible but slacked off half way through the month, started looking for 90's cartoons I hadn't seen in years, went to Costco a few times, did not wear green on St. Patricks day due to not having anything green, made a magical girl anime list for some of my friends, bought a digital psychology textbook to help me with memorizing, also bought a 1 year subscription to MyPsychLab. Started eating Sixlets again after a long time, made home made pizza with some friends, I think general conference happened at the end of this month too. I was a little nervous at this time because finals were close in a few weeks.

April: Got my own Netflix account, realized how many times i got to text someone but end up not saying anything a lot of the time, started to get a little sad about school ending soon, finished my last homework assignments, did my psychology final, and gave my final presentation in Student Success, did a choir concert, signed up for fall semester classes, got straight A's in all my classes, was a little nervous about the final for psychology at the beginning of the month but it turned out perfect. I finished my psychology final a week earlier than everyone else it was open book and online. Joined Khan Academy, told everyone about my former phobia towards mirrors, finally learned how to take screenshots with my phone. i had never really bothered to learn before. Started jogging / walking a little, but kind of slacked off a little.  Said goodbye to Darik and Dylan for good, it ended really awkwardly which is sad but there is nothing I can do about it now. I'll probably never see them again and even though i do have regrets I will have to deal with it. I learned that expressing myself to them isn't a good idea because they just don't get it. We celebrated Easter and I rally aggravated a few of my teeth with all the candy and nuts. I started using xylitol toothpaste and mouthwash to help my teeth more, before I had been using floride toothpaste and stuff.  Realized that staying inside or inside my room makes me a little crazy and irritable so now I have stopped staying in my room 24/7. one of my friends brought me cupcakes, did a hobo dinner with some friends for an FHE activity one evening it was awesome. We roasted a whole bunch of stuff over a fire and made banana boats as well, we chilled our drinks in the nearby river it was cool. My grades became final, got straight A's for sure.

May: Started reading the book of Mormon seriously, went to my brother's graduation, mentioned how I am glad I only have to be out of school for a 3rd of the year, minecraft came to Xbox 360 I do not own an xbox though. I took picture of m goalball trophies and uploaded them to facebook to share with everyone, joined soundcloud, went to seven Peaks a few times, bought a season pass to Seven Peaks,  went to Trafalga with a few of my friends for an FHE activity, went to a party at my friends and swam in her Venice themed swimming pool, also made smoores, and watched a movie as well. went to the Rec Center nearby once,  got my nieces into Phineas and Ferb,  watched Redwall again.  had to cut more branches off our apple tree, found out our next door neighbors are moving.  Got a new wall clock.

June (so far): Went shopping for some new clothes, just new shirts. Got a new chair for my room, my family got a new fridge yesterday, I reached episode 85 in Xena, all caught up in Phineas and Ferb again, Made it to Mosiah in the book of Mormon,  Started attending the Temple Prep class in church,  went to Seven Peaks, became really active on Instagram again, roses have bloomed and I took pictures.

I think I am all caught up now. if i forgot anything I will come back and edit this.  Now I can start blogging normally again. :)

Church Swimming Activity!

Yeah it was this big church thing I had yesterday. We had this huge dinner, sloppy joes, and other stuff it was so busy and there were a ton of people there.  My church rented the pool for 2 hours and we had it all to ourselves, got to swim for free.

Its a lot colder when you swim at night. there were  lot of freezing people on the slide line ha ha.

I went down on this swirly slide, I was going to fast the second time i actually hit the bottom of the pool and got a bruise on my ankle, lower back and elbow. I hit the bottom pretty hard ha ha. I was out of it sort of for like 3 seconds.

It was fun watching all the little kids play in the pool and splash around and stuff, so cute!. I've always loved watching kids play i the pool. I remember when my nieces were little babies and we took them to the pool ha ha.

I was swimming in my shorts for a while but then they just began to get in the way so i took them off and just wore my swimming suit alone. I normally don't like to show m legs if i can help it, it makes me feel a bit self concious.

I was craving mint ice cream so bad afterward ti was funny.

It felt good when i went into the locker room and used the hot shower, thats always good when you're freezing from swimming in the evening haha
