The funniest part of us all getting sick was that my family had been playing a board game called "Pandemic" that same night.
It was the night of christmas, and a little after midnight I started feeling weird. Dad, Jax, Justin and Linda were all sick. Well at about 4 in the morning on the 26th I was the next to fall. Unfortunately I vomited all over my bed coverings and had to have mom come and help clean up while I got washed up. I managed to only wake Linda up thankfully with all our rummaging around. Before this all happened my stomach had felt weird, I had gas, and these really foul tasting burps. I never get sick, so when I am about to it's fairly obvious to me. I tried my best to stay optimistic until I was sure. My mom also got it the next day after this.
Basically for the past three days I've just been mostly sticking to my bed watching YouTube videos, and the Zeldathon live stream over at twitch.tv. On Day 2 I ate 2 packages of crackers, some sparkling apple juice, and a bottle of Gatorade. On day one I didn't eat anything, but I drank water. Every time I stood up on day one I got nauseous so I was lying in bed for probably 2 days only getting up to take bathroom breaks and fill my water bottle. I actually didn't get sick as badly as the other people in the house.
I am pretty much through it at this point. I didn't go to church today as a precaution though. I managed to eat an orange, some cheese flavored crackers, a piece of bread and some Ritz crackers today. My stomach I still getting used to eating again, so I tried not to eat too much. Oh yeah, and I had this cream of broccoli and rice soup for dinner as well, it was pretty simple, but great. It is still snowing a lot, it's like the winter switch finally flipped. This made the soup so much better.
Nothing much to tel really, I've been checking out some new Japanese animes trying to find something new to watch. If I really get into anything I'll post the titles. I think I'm just going to let this post end here.

Christmas Shenanigans
Merry Christmas everyone! Or Merry Individually Designated Holiday!
I suppose I should start with Christmas Eve. No need for me to over explain it. We all woke up to surprise snow! This was the first official snow of the season. No one was expecting it because it's been so unchariceristically warm. We've had rain and hail, but nothing more than that. I'll be honest, nothing much happened on Christmas eve. I was down here in the basement for most of the day playing iphone games like Bejeweled, Twodots, Flow Free, Tetris Blitz, and others.
I napped for a few hours, hung around with family just doing random stuff. I spent some time watching SuperMCGamer's let's play of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time on Youtube. In the evening we cooked dinner and wrapped presents. Well, other people besides me wrapped presents. We had a ham, potatoes, salad, carrots, and fruit salad. It was fun watching people make the dinner. I'm not much of a cook, but mom and Laura are, so it's always really interesting seeing them make everything. Sadly I didn't get pictures of most of the food. Even though nothing really exciting happened today besides the snow it was still a great day just because the family was together.
Usually we play the present game, but this year we didn't do it so we could do stocking stuffers. What you do for the present game is you buy a bunch of cheap presents and you all pick a number. You sit in a circle and roll some dice. If you roll a 7 or 11 you can pick a present. Once you roll one you can either pick a present for steal one someone has already opened. This is really fun and sometimes hilarious. Playing the present game has always been one of my favorite traditions.
Anyway, so I was up for most of the night. I know I at least got 4 hours of sleep, but I knew I wouldn't fall asleep again so I just succumbed to my vampire / night owl ways and watched youtube videos all night.
I came out of my dungeon at about 8am. I knew everyone would take a long time to get things started, but I was feeling uncharacteristically impatient anyway. Basically we didn't get to opening presents until around 10:30pm. It took a while for everyone to get together, especially Tim, who had to drive in the snow. All my nieces and nephew were glued to the living room. Even I was parked in front of the fire watching Fate/Stary Night Unlimited Bladeworks episode 10 on my phone via Chrunchyroll.com. Everyone else was listening to Christmas music and just going about their business. My mom was in the kitchen making apple skeebers. They are pancake balls filled with apple sauce and you dip them in maple syrup. We make them every year as a tradition on Christmas morning.
As anticipated everyone than happy to open the presents when we were all gathered together. We usually take turns opening our presents and don't open them all at once. Here are the ones I got. I didn't pay moth attention to what other people got because I was feeling a bit burned out by all the social interaction.
I did my best to hold on through all the excitement, but all the noises, and people, and other things happening I was way over stimulated and burned out. I took all my stuff downstairs and took pictures and a video. I went back and forth from upstairs to downstais a few times getting something to eat. My mom, besides making the apple skeebers made eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. I wasn't terribly hungry, but I enjoyed it a lot. After I ate I took my plate back upstairs and ten headed back down and fell asleep watching another Ocarina of Time let's play video by SuperMCgamer on youtube. I am on #19 as of now.
I'm not sure how long I slept, but nothing much else happened tonight. Well, after I woke up I found out that Justin caught the flu. Later in the night a couple of hours ago Linda and Jax also caught the flu. There have been a lot of sick people around, so I'm not terribly surprised. I think everyone except for me, Natalie and Kayla have caught it. Anyway, I was doing my usual internet shenanigans, music, reddit, facebook, stumbleupon, watching anime, etc. My family was upstairs playing scrabble and other games and I just didn't feel like joining in later in the night. I ate some chocolate peppermint creams that Linda gave the family for Christmas, as well as some of my mom's toffee, some Nut Thins, and I drank some sparkling peach stuff. Here are some photos.

Anyway, if I forgot to write about anything here I'll add it tomorrow, I am so exhausted by all the excitement. Such is the fate of nearly every introvert like me. We are all pretty much glad it's over, even though it was fun.

Darik & Dylan (Part 3)
I said that I'd write about them more a couple days ago on their birthday. I was planning on doing it on their birthday, but this is okay I guess.
I was thinking of the time when I was 11, just a few months after I met them when they invited me to their 12th birthday party. I remember it was Darik who gave me the invitation, I was so happy. They had it at Classic Skating, a local place where you can rent or bring your own skates or roller blades and just skate as much as you want. I think that that was the night when my shell started to officially crack. I was so shy back then towards them that I could hardly ever say hi most of the time. Sometimes Darik would say hi and all I could do was panic and just look at him. I remember that evening at the party I got to skate with Dylan, but didn't really have the guts to skate with Darik. I didn't really ask Dylan, he just kind of figured it out himself I guess. That was a really good night. I don't think they have had any big birthday parties since then, though they might have I don't know. If they have I don't really care that I wasn't a part of it. I learned not to take things like that personally.
We have never been super close, and I can't really say I've ever hung out with either of them outside of school or church sadly. I guess that is how it is with most guys around here though. I would have liked to have some time with them outside school and church, but they have so many friends I never really felt like I had any right to ask of such a thing. I'm pretty sure it is too late now and I'm okay with that. I don't recall if I ever said anything before, but throught junior high I had classes with Dylan and had more time to be around him than Darik. After the 6th grade I never had any time with Darik unless it was at lunch. I think I payed more attention to Darik more and watched him more though. My attention has always been a little more gravitated towards him than to Dylan I'll admit. I suppose this is because he was there in one of the craziest and scariest times of my life. I just feel really comfortable around him, I love when he is around. I doubt there is a person I know on this planet that I trust more than him and feel more comfortable around. I'm not even kidding or getting ahead of myself when I say that, I really mean it.
Anyway, so even though I had more interaction with Dylan, I gravitated towards Darik more in the end. I guess some things are just unpredictable like that. I used to be really stubborn about admiting how much I liked Darik though. I think the reason I had so much trouble admiting I was and am so fond of him back then was because of my lack of time to interact with him. I guess I didn't want to get my heart too into it, but I gave in in the end. I still stand by what I said about my feelings in part 1. The more I learn about feelings and love the more I know it has always been true. I don't think I could have so gracefully and easily let him go if it wasn't solid and true. That much I know for sure.
Anyway, so here we are years later after meeting each other and we are still great friends. I don't think I've ever kept a friend longer than I've had them as friends. It's nice to have a friendship I can feel safe and solid about.
Anyway, I guess that's enough for now...

Out on the Town
I'll be honest, my trip to SLC tonight was a first time trial and error thing. I've been up to Salt Lake City before of course, but I always had plans. Tonight my ward did a trip and everything everyone did was completely spontaneous. I think I could have handled things better and done more. There is nothing much to tell about before the trip so I'll skip my shenanigans at home for tonight.
My dad dropped me off at the local church where the bus our bishop arranged was parked. I left around 6pm, and I thought I was late. I should have known better, the bishop had planned to leave at 6:30, but told everyone to arrive at 6pm. Anyone that knows our ward knows that we are almost always famously late for everything. I am one of the few truly punctual ones and was the first one on the bus. We left only 3 minutes late at 6:30 and someone started handing out treat bags. At the time the bus lights had just been turned off, so I couldn't really see what it was that I was about to eat other than something caramel covered and a few other things. Even now I'm not 100% sure what the caramel covered stuff was, but it had the same crunchy feel of something like cheese puffs or something. It definitely wasn't popcorn, I'd know popcorn anywhere. Other than the mystery snack I found M&Ms, and mini milkyways, and Butterfingers in the bag. I was kind of hungry and I get carsick on an empty stomach, so I was really grateful for this stuff.
I just want to say that the trip was okay, but it could have been better, anyway you'll see...
I didn't talk much on the bus, as is usually the case when I'm on the road. I had come bundled up in my new black coat, a black, blue, and purple scarf and my cream colored hat that has ear flaps that keep my ears warm. I decided to take the jar and scarf off, but left my coat on while I was in the bus. Anyway so after 45 minutes we finally got to SLC and the bus driver let us off at one of the entrances to temple square. I started out my two hours there with a girl named Heidi and her friends. We went to the visitors center and took a restroom break and headed back outside after with our group. I guess she didn't really want to be there for very long, so we found another group I could be with after she left not to long after that. The second group I was on was looking around temple square and it was make up more people I know. I usually get rides with Whitney to church, she was there along with two people I've known for a long time, Stacy and Koa ( might be spelling that wrong). There was a couple others, but I don't remember who they were now.
I should probably mention that my hat and scarf were back on now because it was freezing and windy outside.
We decided to head back to the Temple Square visitors center where we saw the Christus and paintings, and watched a short film. We took a photo in front of this scene, but I don't have the photo of us all yet.
After this we just wandered around temple square to the Tabernacle, and what I think is the assembly hall. We also saw the nativity scene, and it had narration and beautiful music with it. Sadly I didn't get any videos or pictures because it was so packed. I was amazed how many people were out despite the really cold and windy weather.
I was thinking at this point in time, about 25 minutes before our departure that I could have spent my time wiser. It was 8:50 and we were getting back on the bus at 9:15. We decided to head to the mall ( where I now think I should have been the whole time) and maybe get some hot chocolate if we had time. Sadly we started talking to someone that went up with us that we met there and so we only got to see the amazing trees, including the big Christmas tree and the fountain. I didn't get to go inside any of the stores this time.
Last picture of temple square.
Anyway, so we got back on the bus and went home. I grabbed another treat bag for my way back and so did some others. I surfed through facebook and Stumbleupon on my way back to kill some time.
I went to the store with my mom sometime afterward, but it was just to get some anti flea stuff for Panda because she has been itching a lot. I also pointed out a 32oz water bottle I need very badly while I was there. I'm hoping I get it for Christmas.
Nothing more to tell.

Out of Reach
I had one of those moments today that just make you shake for 5 minutes after. Linda went downstairs to get some makeup or something and I was helping watch Violet. Violet went after Linda, and I wasn't able to catch her before she started tumbling down the stairs. She was okay after, but it was the longest 5 seconds of my life. I wish my reaction time was just a bit faster, but I was a foot short of being able to catch her. I was shaking for 5 or 10 minutes after, I swear the first couple of seconds happened in slow motion.
Last night I just couldn't get any sleep. I got like 4 hours, but other than that nothing. I suppose I'm still a bit over excited about Linda and everyone being here. It rained a lot today, I'm just glad it wasn't windy. It doesn't even feel remotely like winter here at the moment. My ride was late today so I missed the sacrament at church, I was going to attend the other wards but I totally forgot! I wanted to sleep so badly, but for the most part I managed to avoid it today. I did a little during Relief Society when we were talking about the signs of the second coming, but not too much. I had to walk around the halls a few times and drink a lot of water. I also got to talk to this guy I know, his name is James, he used to be my home teacher. He says he isn't very good at talking to people, but I don't see it. I find him to be really interesting. He's one of the very few guys I actually like talking to. He also gave a talk in sacrament meeting today, it was pretty good.
I'm still adjusting to our new puppy. She is still too hyper for me, I don't spend much time around Panda right now. It's going to take time for my heart to warm up to her. Part of me still feels like my space has been invaded. I'm sure the cat feels somewhat the same. I'm just going to have to be patient I guess. I'm just not that into her right now, though I admit she is cute.
I napped today and hung out with my nieces and nephews. The whole family was here tonight, all of my brothers and sisters and their children. I now have 2 nephews and 4 nieces. We had home made minestrone for dinner tonight. My mom is a master at making soup. Actually she is a master at cooking in general in my opinion.
Anyway, nothing much to write about other than this. It is my friend Ronnie's birthday today. I'm not sure what he is up to right now though.

Pizza Night!
Linda, Justin, Jax, and Violet are back from California again. I am sooooo happy to see them! They ordered pizza from Hungry Howie's tonight. They got BBQ chicken pizza, jalapeño, pepperoni, cheese, gluten free cheese, and some little bread sticks.
I slept in again today, I've been hanging around the family a lot today. Today is Darik and Dylan's birthday as well, but I'll give them their own post later. I've been playing games on my phone like Bejeweled, IMVU which is more social than a game I guess, tetris, and TwoDots. I've also been watching YouTube videos, mostly Kurtjmac, GenerikB, Aureylian, and a few others. GenerikB has been playing this game called Bully about this kid that gets sent to this crazy boarding school. Basically the school is full of crazy people that beat each other up, stereotypical nerds, jocks, preps, mechanics called "greasers" and really weird teachers. Basically the whole place looks run down and you would have to watch some lets play videos to understand.
They each have certain series I like in their channels, but I'll go more in depth with my favorite youtubers later.
For now, here are some pictures and clips from today. If anything else happens tonight I'll edit this.

I just got back from the gym, tonight I saw my personal trainer. We mostly just did TRX stuff, and jumping jacks. Here is the routine he gave me.

Nothing much happened today. I just did the usual cardio and weight lifting at the gym. I have lost the weight I gained around Thanksgiving finally! I slept in today, I'm still making the most out of being done with school. I'm going to try not to slip into vampire mode too often though. I know sleeping in and staying up late isn't exactly wise. At least in large amounts. If it was normal, like if there was two different kinds of people; ones that live life during the night, and the others during the day, it would be interesting to be part of the night dwellers. Some would argue that iris already like this, but I don't think it's common enough.
I spent some time at the mall today, nothing more than that happened.
This week hasn't been really eventful, on Sunday I attended the local ward and at the closing hymn the organist got confused playing "Away in a Manger" and was playing the first part of the song when people were singing the second part and vise versa. It was totally funny, but I felt bad for the poor organist.
On Monday we got a new black Labrador! We named her panda officially either yesterday or the day before. We were going to name her Cinder, but I objected. We have been trying to house train her and get her used to living here. Here is a picture of her and Laura.

Other things that happened on Monday... Let's see, I went to a nearby rest home where my ward was having FHE and did a talent show for the people living there. Sadly I didn't get to participate because I didn't attend the ward on Sunday and so couldn't sign up for it. I think I would have read some of my poetry. Here is a video.
I didn't really talk to anyone while I was there, I was more interested in observation at the time. We had lemon poppy, strawberry & chocolate bread for refreshments afterward.
On Tuesday I had my math final at 9am. I got 68% on it, but still had to do a couple of things after school to pass the class. I didn't really get much sleep the night before because I was studying. Considering that, I did pretty good. Before the test I grabbed some hot chocolate and a giant 6x4 rice Krispy treat. After the test I actually went straight home. I was just feeling too tired to go anywhere then.
I finished the rest of my math homework that I had left undone like the professor told me to. Apparently I had skipped more than I thought I did and I even somehow managed to fail to notice that there was a while chapter section left undone somewhere. I will now iterate how much I want fractions to burn in hades once more. The last thing I did for my math class so I could pass was I did a couple of extra credit assignments. I picked a recipe and halved it, doubled it and cut the recipe instructions into a third and sent all 3 sets of instructions to her in a Word document. The second assignment I picked out two items and had to compare the prices and tell which ones were cheaper. I used Spry Xylitol gum and Cherries Jubilee Spiru Tein protein shake. No surprise that Amazon won both.
The last thing I did on Tuesday was take my final for my Lifespan & Development class and I got a 78/100 on that! It was online. I watched a few hours of anime I think or took a nap in between my math homework and that. I celebrated by staying up late watching stuff and eating pineapple and crackers. I don't remember what I watched though. I think it might have been watching "Vampire Princess Miyu" or something.
On Wednesday I binge watched Magic Kaito all the way up to the current episode (11). I also reached season 7 of Degrassi: The Next Generation. Other than this nothing worth noting happened.
On Thursday I binge watched Hellsing Ultimate did some Christmas window shopping and picture taking for my Christmas list around the mall & Michael's, and went to a Christmas party my ward was having at our local church. We ate food from Cafe Rio, had a talent show again and there was even a hot chocolate bar. I was sitting at a table with a girl named Heidi, a guy named James, and a couple of other people. I got some food and sat down. The talent show was a bit different than the one on Monday. Besides the same stuff owe did on Monday, there was a nunchuck demonstration, piano playing, and another story. Sadly I didn't get any video because I was distracted by the hot chocolate bar. Even more sadly I forgot to rip the photos of that off my Snapchat before they disappeared! There was 4 different kinds of Stephen's hot cocoa, mini candy canes, different kinds of marshmallows, other peppermint candy, different flavored creams, jelly beans, M&Ms, and chocolate dipped spoons.
Anyway, so that is what has been going on the past 5 days! If anyone has any pictures of the Christmas Party or at least the hot chocolate bar I'll post them later for sure!

Sanctuary

I'll just admit here and now again that I mention and express things on here that I normally would feel a little nervous about saying out loud. That is what this blog is for really, to fully express myself and share my life with others.
When I started blogging on a regular basis it was back in 2008 and it was on a now sad site called Xanga, that is now only a shadow of its former self. I had done a few entries on other sites here and there, but Xanga was by far my favorite site to blog on for years. I used to write on AOL Journals, wordpress, and Quizilla in high school, but only a few times. I miss the days of having a regular following of people that read my blog. Blogger is great, but it can be difficult to get a big audience sometimes.
I want people to know my feelings, poetry, experiences, regrets, times in my life when I did things in not proud of, and struggles I've been through. People need to know they aren't alone and there are people that have been through depression, social issues, lack of confidence, motivation issues, etc. You are never truly alone and I've been through a lot, that is why I write. I write here so that I don't feel alone and I feel heard and so I can help others, and share my creativity. I hope I can inspire and uplift and encourage others to have dreams and get out more.
This is my sanctuary, but it can also bee a sanctuary for others if they wish.
