October Recap 2/2

Here we go again! Happy Halloween! Today was pretty fun actually. We had exam toay in French and I've been going to the tutor lately, so I feel like this exam for Chapter 3 has been way easier. I am hoping I can keep the habit of seeing the French tutor up. I have been doing an hour every week. Sadly, that is all we are allowed to do, only an hour each a week with the tutor because he is the only French tutor.

I got to wear my rainbow sock monkey costume to school Today and that was fun. I didn't get to sample at work today, but honestly I don't care. I'm probably going to complain about my work experience soon. I am still having a really hard time with the sample shift. I feel like I've been shoved off onto the side. I feel like I am in the way. Hopefully I can find a way to turn things around, but I think I'm going to quit soon.

tonight my ward had a party at the bishop's second house. His second house is really nice. I went to the store on my way back from school and the mall. I got some drinks for the party we had. I got Squirt, A&W cream soda, Root Beer and Pomegranate 7UP. No one ever brings drinks to church parties, or they don't bring enough. I made sure to have fun with my selection. There were cookies and chips there as well. I loved the ranch dip we had for the chips. Part of me wishes I had brought more salty snacks, but I've probably spent enough. We played pool, watched stuff on the TV and just hung out with each other. A lot of people from the ward came, it was pretty fun. I got a little worn out and fell asleep at some point. I wasn't asleep for very long though.

I opted out of traditional candy this year and just got some chocolates from See's Candies today. I think I'm just going to do that every year, but who knows. I might change my mind later. Ohe thing I'm excited for though when it comes to candy is the caramel M&Ms. I saw those are going to be a thing soon! They are apparently joining the ranks of the permanent flavors.

Yesterday we had Stake Conference and the church was packed with people yet again. So much that people had to sit in the halls! I loved that, it shows we are serious about wanting to grow spiritually.

Anyway, here are some pictures of the fall leaves I took a few days ago. The fall colors have been fantastic this year!

This month for some reason I've been wanting to wear my glasses a lot more. I even wore them at work one of the times I went this month. the one time I wore my glasses however to work was the one time I got burned! It was pretty sad and I won't be trying that again. I think it's for the best if I just keep them off when I am there.

I still want to get new glasses and I've even picked them out! Judy at Voational Rehab is going to help me get some new ones soon hopefully! Here is a couple of pictures of me after work when i got a Tropical Blast Chillata from work.

So remember those colorful shoes I got a month ago? I decided I didn't want them. I have given them to Plato's Closet. It's a discount store you can give brand name and trending stuff to and they will give you money. You can buy other people's stuff discounted of course. I only got $7 for them, but honestly I don't care. They take 60% off of the price and give you a portion of the remaining price when you sell. Something like that. I might be a little off. Anyway, I've been wearing my Asics brand shoes that I originally got for running but haven't used much up until now. I am a lot more comfortable wearing those ones.

I was at a hobby shop on that day looking for Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. Plato's Closet is right next door, so after I found out where the cards are for some future date when I'm going to buy some I visited. That was when I realized I could sell my high top shoes and I went home and got them. I hope whoever bought them from the store likes them more than I did. Whoever got them was lucky because like I said before, they took 60% off of the original price.

Anyway, I've been wanting to try out more brands of artisan water. Some people think all water is the same and I know better. Some bottled water and even tap waater is more acidic and some is more alkaline. You want the alkaline stuff, it is better for you. Here is a cool video.

I recal buying Fiji water sometime this month along with some ice cream.

I seem to be going out for treats a lot when I have hard homework. We have started the beginnings of major paper 5 in English. I was going to do my research paper on agoraphobia, but that is hard to research right now because it si no longer considered to be part of panic disorder. The DSM-V has reclassified it as a stand alone disorder and phobia. I am doing my research paper on Depression and Anxiety instead. We have been doing out annotated bibliographies and research proposals. I hate English homework, but I am getting better at writing stuff like that for sure.

October Recap 1/2

Time for an October recap. I am just too busy to want to write right now. I feel like my English class is sucking the writing motivation out of me. I will save the thoughts and details about school for the end of the year though. I expect I'll have a lot to say in a couple of months.

I've been looking over my blog notes and I noticed I wrote something about wanting to try a Zero candy bar shake. I really should do that sometime for sure. I think Zero andy bars are my favorite. It's a shame they don't get handed out at Halloween so far as I know. I've never seen one so far, but maybe if I am lucky I'll get... well lucky! haha.

I think the big event this month so far was getting my hair cut. This is my last haircut unless if I REALLY need one in the future. I am going to grow my hair out super super long this time.

Here are a couple of pictures I took at the beginning of the month.

I went out on the day I took these photos. Here is a necklace I got! This was conference weekend.

I also went out for ice cream on that day. I went in between the Saturday sessions of General Conference. Getting a treat on General Conference weekend is a bit of a tradition for me. I also made a trip to Sally's Beauty Supply on this day and looked at hair stuff. It's nice to plan ahead.

I will talk more about LDS General Conference some other time. I want to show you thehaircut I got a little over a week ago. I kind of miss being able to put my hair in a ponytail, but this cut was needed. Something tells me I'm going to have to get my hair modified though down the line.

That was a fun day, thought on my way home I ended up getting hot chocolate at the store because I froze myself at the bus stop! I really shouldn't wait for the bus outside.Oh yeah, I at at Panda Express on the 6th as well. I feel like this month so far I've been eating too much asian food.

I am still rooting for Evan McMullin to win Utah in the elections. I really think he can do it. I don't really like Trump or Hillary. I am glad I have someone I like. He probably won't become president, but he deserves my vote nonetheless. Have you seen the news lately about allies of Putin in Russia threatening or warning the USA that if they don't vote for Trump we will probably end up in a war with Russia? That is crazy and I won't be bullied into anything. I refuse to vote for someone out of fear. I don't think anything will really happen, but on this planet you never know. Things are so unpredictable.

Have you seen that they are toning down the appearances of Ronald McDonald because of all the crazy clown appearances all over the world? I feel so bad for Ronald!

If I forgot to mention anything from the past two weeks I guarantee you will see it later in the future.

(Before I Forget!) The Cinnabon Dream!

I had the most bizarre dream last night, but it was fun!

I was at the mall, it was a lot different than the one in real life though. It seemed to be in a big city or made over or something. I was heading to Cinnabon for whatever reason and I realized something was off. The store was in a corner somewhere in my dream. Anyway, there was a door that I went through. I was profoundly confused to find some kind of house or furniture store. It might have been a little apartment at the time. There was a person in the back and I asked her what happened to Cinnabon. She replied that it closed for good yesterday. I was surprised and walked out looking every which way as I did. The transformation of the place was amazing. I remember noting how fast it was remodeled.

I told everyone on social media what happened and by this time the scene had changed. To my right there was a bikini store and to the left there seemed to be a chair store. It was funny because there seemed to be just a room filled with restaurant chairs. I took a video of both and left after I noted a few employees were there looking at me. I think I talked to one of them and left, but that part was blurry.

Later I remember asking people more questions about the closure and telling people about it as well. Little did I know that Coldstone and Cinnabon had started up again without me. I remember going there and thinking that they wouldn’t higher me the way things were now. I looked around and things seemed to be gloomy. I remember leaving, but later finding another combination store somewhere else. This one was fun and vibrant. I remember it was bigger and a lot of it was made of bright colors and dark wood. Everyone was laughing and I remembered feeling like I fit in. The manager just happened to be in after I greeted everyone and we started talking.  She was a tall large African American woman with a big personality. She just lit up the world around her. I nearly walked out at one point without inquiring about a job, but luckily I didn’t. It seemed like the manager was also wanting to give me a job. She let me skip the application process since we had talked and gave ne a work schedule right then and there.

I was excited and looked at the schedule. There was a few conflicts with school and knew I had to fix those.  Most notably with my morning French class. The manager had went in the back off to the side somewhere and I went back there too where I found a school. I don’t know what happened in the end because the dream ended after I had started searching through this small school in the back.  It was a really neon vibrant place. I wish I had dreamed a big longer. It might have been a baking school.

So the dream was illuminating. Apparently I want to have coworkers and an environment where people are energetic and upbeat. I love enthusiastic people that laugh and get along. I know I’m stuck with the way things are right now, but that dream was awesome. I’m glad I remembered a lot of it.
This dream might also mean that I’ll find a better job in the future that I’ll love and fit into.  If this is trust I am excited! My dreams are never just dreams, so I don’t know, but last night was a great night and I feel refreshed and ready to go today!

The Tree

So every six months my church (I’m Mormon / LDS) has this thing called General Conference. It’s this thing where we get guidance from our church leaders for two days. they give talks in 5 two hour sessions. The first three happen at 10, 2 and 6. The third one is just for the men. The other two happen on Sunday at 10 and 2. The women do have their meeting but ours is the week before.

Anyway, so the first thing I did today was listen to General Conference and do a bunch of random stuff on my phone. I ate some Cafe Rio that I got with dad yesterday night because I didn’t finish it. I don’t have much to say about conference right now really. My attention span isn’t the best and I want to give that stuff it’s own post after I re listen or read the talks later.

After the first session I needed to go put my check from work in the bank, so I got ready. I decided to wear my hair up in a pony tail. Something I haven’t tried since I cut my hair a month and a half ago. I got most of it up and I just pinned the rest down with about 11 hair clips I think. I don’t really mind all the hair clips. I put everything into my little purse and then I was off! While I was waiting for the bus it rained however, but thankfully it wasn’t too long or too heavy. The bus came soon after and I got on it. I took this picture of my hair when I was riding for a friend.

That strand behind my ear came loose when the wind was blowing. I’m glad more didn’t come out.

So I went to the bank and deposited my check. the buses only come every hour on Saturday, so I decided to just go to themall and get this necklace from Claire’s that I’ve been wanting for a while. I was tempted to buy more, but my funds are limited, so I decided not to.

I love trees, so I’m probably going to be wearing this a lot. I like how it’s on a black rope instead of a chain. The chains at Claire’s tarnish and fade. I’ve never liked them very much.

I got some ice cream after this at Farr’s and got cheesecake mixed with marshmallow. I could have just gotten ice cream at Cold Stone, but I love the flavors of Farr’s much more. I put sugar wafer and pretzels in it. The whole thing was fabulous and while i ate I was actually listening to the second session of conference.

I also took a bus and back to Sally’s Beauty Supply to see what hair stuff I’ll need later for when I grow it out. It wasn’t very long, but I’m glad i went. I decided not to stay over there because I didn’t want to get stuck without a bus home. If I’d stayed on that side of town I would have had to get a ride and I hate asking people for rides. When I got back to the mall I hung out for a while and looked at more hair products, this time at Regis Salon. I thought about buying some hairspray and shampoo, but decided to wait.

I took the bus home not too long after this. On my wa home I stopped by the store and ended up getting cheaper hairspray and shampoo. I also got a candy corn flavored chocolate bar and candy corn M&Ms. I walked home and finished off the rest of my Cafe Rio burrito while I watched random videos.
