And Life Goes On (Part 1)

HERE ARE THE PICTURES I MENTION IN THIS POST. I FORGOT TO POST THEM HERE AND SO I ENDED UP PUTTING THEM IN PART 2. --->  PART 2

VIDEOS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST

I know it has been three months since I have written anything. I just get really really lazy and procrastinate a lot when it comes to writing. What the real shame is that a lot of cool things have happened to me over the past 3 months. For the first half of July I was at Linda's house in California. We did a lot while I was there. I usually never get to be around my siblings very much, so it was really nice to be around her for a couple of weeks. She got to go to Jessica Simpsons wedding and we went out shopping. She bought some jewelry and we walked along the street and just looked at all the shops. I wouldn't even know where to start if I were to tell you everything that happened there. I will give you a few highlights though. I bought a really nice japanese fan in one of the stores. I can't remember what Linda was looking at in that particular store, might have been bags, but along the wall there were Japanese fans and I just fell in love with the one I got.

There was a shop where they sell different kinds of stones, each kind of stone is supposed to give off a different feeling or mean something. My favorite was the polished hematite stones, I was really drawn to those a lot. There was more to the store than just rocks, but I can't remember everything. It had a pretty good feeling inside of it. The other cool store I remember was this one that had a lot of used clothes that people used in different movies and TV shows. I guess the clothes people wear are just like costumes or something a lot of the time and when they are done filming that is where they send stuff sometimes. There were a ton of clothes there and they had a ton of different origins.

Anyway, I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself, let's just start from the beginning.

I took a plane on the 1st of July, I used my cane to make things faster. It's amazing how helpful the people are there when they think you can't see. I made sure to milk it for all it was worth because I just wanted to get through it. I really hate using my cane and I will go to great lengths to avoid using it if I have to. It's not the cane I hate, it's the attention I get. I just feel so much psychological pressure it was driving me crazy and I couldn't take it. I don't even need it that much anyway. It only took me about 2 weeks to figure this out. I am a hands free kind of person, so having to always hold something was annoying. If I ever go to an airport again I'll use it again though just because it is faster and more convenient for me.

I was in Economy class I think on the way there. They don't give you any juice or anything until you go on business class. I was in business class on the way back and it was lovely, though I brought my own snacks and drinks on the plane. There were these mini TVs on the backs of the seats, most of the stuff on them like the TV shows and the movies and stuff cost money though. I had a very pleasant trip both ways.

Anyway, I stayed at my sisters house the whole two weeks, her place is pretty nice and I slept like a baby on the blow up mattress she bought. I never sleep at home like I slept on that bed over there. It was queen size. I got to sleep in Jax's room. I got to spend a lot of time with my cute niece and nephew. I got to help Linda take care of them a lot, and while she was away at Jessica Simpsons wedding stuff I got to help babysit them. My dad came there as well, so I had help. I still get really bad anxiety when I babysit, but he was there to help. There were a few times when I thought I wasn't going to make it through, but I did. I get really nervous when I babysit because I used to have to babysit for my other sister and I guess I got overwhelmed sometimes and it became too much. Once I got through the times when I had to do that I just couldn't do that anymore. It was really stressful and I sometimes nearly lost control. I remember pushing natalie a few times. Baby sitting is one of the few things that scares me and stresses me out and causes me really bit anxiety. I don't want to go into anymore detail, but it was harder than I let on.

I had my birthday while I was there on the 4th of July. Jax got sick the day before though, so we didn't get to do much, but I did get to go to lunch and have an amazing steak and fries. I will never forget that. Linda bought me a birthday cake, it looked like a giant cupcake. The bottom looked like it had a gradient red white and blue cupcake paper cup but it was really frosting and I was surprised. The top was white with red and blue stars. It had some little golden decorations, it was so amazing. I will make sure to include that photo. My sister went to Jessica Simpsons pre wedding BBQ on the 4th, so I did babysit a little on my birthday, it wasn't too bad though because most of the time Jax was sleeping. I am actually glad I got to have a laid back birthday where I got to just watch anime and read and just hang out. Usually my birthday is full of going places like parades and fireworks and it's a complete sensory overload. I honestly as an introvert don't have very much fun on my birthday, it just make me cranky.

Oh yeah, another thing I almost forgot is that we got our nails done at the local mall, the mall was so big and there were so many stores. We didn't get to explore it more because of everyone that got sick, but I want to go back and get my nails done and do more stuff there. I also had the best mango sorbet ever in a waffle bowl at a Ben and Jerry's stand. There is just too much to describe, it was so crazy.

My sister got sick as well while I was there, right after we went to the zoo. While I was there I also go to go to Griffith observatory and I also went to the beach. We went to not only Santa Monica beach, but we went to the pier as well. We looked around and got ice cream and checked out the old carousel. I will slow you pictures at the end of this post. When I was at the beach we just put a blanket on the sand and I got in the water and just let the waves crash against me, I even got knocked over a few times. My poor nephew  got completely knocked over and the water went over his face. He got scared, but recovered and was back in the water pretty fast. It was a lot of fun. I could talk about the zoo, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. The coolest thing I didn't get pictures of was when we went driving around Hollywood and Linda told us what every place along the streets was, it was really cool learning about the places she went and who she met.

I managed to avoid getting sick with a lot of help from a lot of hand washing and being careful not to touch anything that was touched by Linda or Jax. If I did touch something I always washed my hands afterward. It's not that I am afraid of germs, it's just getting sick there would have truly sucked a lot. I don't get to see Justin Jax, Violet and Linda a whole lot.

One other highlight took place the night before I left for home. Linda needed something at the store, so we went for a night walk to Ralph's grocery store and I got to see the night life and learn about more places around where she lives. We brought along Violet with us and it was amazing seeing everything. Violet actually started crawling when I was there, it was so adorable. She wasn't quite to full crawling, it was more like scooting, but I'm glad I got to see that. I think dad and I being there really helped her start to crawl, she is really attached to Linda and when I was there she would cry every time she was put down. When Linda and Justin were out of the room she calmed down, but we had to keep her occupied a lot. Every time either of them came into the room again she would start crying again. Violet is so adorable haha.

Anyway, I think I have written enough for this part. If I have forgotten to mention anything I will just write about it in my next post. I just wanted to talk about this trip for this post. It's a lot less stressful for me if after a while of not posting I just post the stuff people missed in parts. Part 2 will come soon!
