Candy Candy Candy

I want to go sugar free again and so I bought some of my favorite candies this week. Stuff like Hersheys cookies and cream, the toffee symphony bar, muddy buddies, and I even got my favorite cherry cream soda to wash the stuff down. I watched movies and was just lazy in general this weekend.

Just Another 9/11

today was my music test and we did it in groups of 3. We each had to describe different pars of a piece of music. I had trouble, but we were allowed to get help from our team mates. The test went well, though it was hard. I went to the mall afterawrd where I bumped into the manager of Cinnabon. Cinnabon and Cold Stone Creamery are in the same spot, so I got to talk to her when I was getting cinnamon ice cream. From what she told me, I think I'm going to get that job in October! Of course it's not iron clad yet, but it sounds like there is a big chance!

I spent the rest of the day thinking about history and watching September 11th videos. It's not good to forget. :)

Outage

Late last night I was searching for something on Google when the power suddenly went out. I knew my laptop couldn't last long and my phone's battery was low, so I plugged my phone into my computer and then turned it off. My laptop can still charge my phone if it is off and it doesn't take all it's power, so it worked out. I put a podcast on and then went to sleep. It was kind of weird not even having my alarm clock numbers on. I called the power company and they said that the power would be back on by morning, so I just gave up until morning.

In the morning though the power was still out. On the plus side though my phone was charged to 100%. Since the family couldn't use the fridge I went with Laura to get breakfast for everyone and then we went back home. I got oatmeal, a hash brown, an egg, cheese and sausage McMuffin. and an orange juice. It wasn't the healthiest breakfast but it worked. I decided that since I had no power at the house I was going to take my laptop to school because I didn't know how long it was going to be out. I was going to just bring my laptop bag, but when I got everything into it it was too heavy. I had a crazy idea after this, one that I though was impossible for the past 3 years I've had the laptop. I actually tried to fit my computer into my backpack for once. It was a tight fit and I had to be careful, but apparently my laptop can violate the laws of space because it fit! I hurried and got the rest of the stuff in my backpack like my charger and other usual stuff and went to school.

We talked about finances in marriage in my Family Studies class. In my philosophy class we started talking about the parable of the cave, also known to some as the ancient form of the Matrix. I actually tried recording the class, but I forgot that the audio recorder on this computer is really really bad. Needless to say when I got home and the power was on I tried to listen to my recording and it was really really bad which made me sad.

Anyway, the rest of the da was pretty boring.

The Dreaded C Word

I HAVE CAVITIES! I HATE THIS SO MUCH! I went to the dentist today for my bi annual cleaning and got this news. I don't really feel like writing today, so I'll just post a video.

Job Interview

Today was pretty cool I had my job interview after school. There isn't much to tell, they just asked me some basic questions about my skills and if I have ever helped anyone. They asked me if I could do holidays or weekends and I said I was going to be fine with that. I think I might actually get this job, they seemed to like me a lot. Hopefully I'm right. I'm glad I did not let my anxiety get the best of me.

Today in Family studies we talked about family finances, and in hilosophy we finished talking about Plato's Republic.

Oh yeah, and I got my runescape account back! I am excited to play again.

Heavenly Ice Cream

I've been trying a whole bunch of games on Steam today. I also went to the store and found this really great lemon cake ice cream that is sweetened with watermelon sugar. The brand is Halo Top, and I think it's appropriate because the ice cream is also low calorie, has great ingredients. The whole pint is only 16 grams of sugar and that is natural sugar. It is quite literally something I would expect to be in heaven or at least awfully close. I'm pretty sure that God can make better, but our world isn't perfect yet so it'll do. :)

About the games I've been playing today. A couple of them were "Gems of War", and "Tap Tap Infinity". I'm going to try a few more after I write this, but I'll talk about that tomorrow. "Tap Tap Infinity" is a game where you can mostly idle, but "Gems of War" is more of a match three strategy game similar to bejeweled or perhaps Puzzles and Dragons.

I played my cello for a while earlier in the afternoon. Natalie also got me to play her violin for a minute. Sometimes I let her play my cello and it is really funny either way. I am working on keeping my bow straight, it is really hard especially when I am trying to play the A string.

During my practice I ignored a text about ward family home evening (FHE) tonight. If I had looked I would have noticed that it was starting at six instead of seven o clock like it usually starts every Monday. It just happened to be 6pm when I was playing so I was 40 minutes late by the time I got there. Lucky for me the BBQ went on a lot longer than this. It was pretty fun and simple. People just mostly ate and talked. A few people went inside and played Phase 10. I stayed for about an hour and totally ate too much.

Nothing much has been going on since I got home. I've just been playing games. I was going to clean and stuff today but it looks like I never ended up doing anything of that sort. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

One Thousand Suns

Today was just an ordinary day, though we had testimony meeting in church and I talked about some of my hardships that I have with friends. It is always fun to go up there and tell people about some of my life and what I go through. That is one of the biggest reasons why I write this blog and why I am trying so hard to fill in any gap that I made over the last two months. I love sharing my life with people, it is fun. One of the thing I talked about in my testimony was my troubles with Sam. Today was his birthday by the way and I did allow myself to write on his facebook wall.

Church was a blur, and sadly I forgot today was fast Sunday. I am going to fast for most of the day tomorrow instead. After church I ate some of the chocolate cookies that mom made, and they were very good. For the rest of the day I've been watching Fringe and Star Trek. I also took a quiz for my family studies class and only missed 3 out of 15 questions. I am glad to finally be through wit that particular thing.

Tonight, just an hour ago or so I was talking with James while I was playing clicker Heroes on Steam and watching Fringe. I was talking about how I get stumped with what games I should play. I am always very indecisive when it comes to that sort of thing. I accidentally wrote the word as stuped which made james think that I though I was stupid for not being able to choose a game. My face took on the fire of 1000 suns, it was so embarrassing. I quickly fixed the situation and explained that it was a typo. Later I talked about how I don't have very much faith in the government and some of the reasons why I am so pessimistic about that and politics. That is something I'll talk about in a later post.

Anyway, that was my day today, it was pretty peaceful as usual. I am excited for a new week. I am going to start filling in the 2 month posting gap tomorrow. If I stick to my goal of 3 posts a day going backwards to July I should have July and August filled in completely in at least 20 days. I will e posting normally of course so I don't fall behind again.

Moving Forward

I know I haven't beeen writing for a while. I am back now though. I will be slowly adding the posts that I missed over the past 2 months. I'm going to do 3 to 5 a day so I don't over work myself. July wasn't super busy, so after I do my 4th of July post I'm going to be working backwards from yesterday. I won't let a gap in my posts stay there, that is one thing I absolutely hate. I want to remember what I did in the future, so this is a wise decision.

Yesterday I did the posts for July 1st through the 3rd. I just have to warn you like I said before they might be sparse because for the most part it was a pretty boring month.

I don't usually post on Saturdays, but I'll make an exception for today. I went for a walk earlier today and got a pretty bad sunburn, but I'm pretty used to them by now. I went to the mall and looked around for a while after everyone freaked out about mom's rearrangement of the living room. I got a ride from Tim, but got a ride back from mom and dad when they went to Costco. Mom and I went to the Home Depot and got a hose and one of those hose attachments with the different settings. I've wanted one of those for a while. I am totally excited to use it.

We had roast, potatoes, and broccoli for dinner tonight and I let Natalie play my cello; though she had no idea what she was doing despite the fact that she plays the violin so it was funny.

Other than that I think I ate too much today. I hate it when I do that. Tomorrow is Sam's birthday, though I don't know if I'll write on his facebook wall or not yet. I'll make the decision tomorrow I guess.

Colored Headphones

(Future me here, other than getting my awesome color changing iHome headphones and watching videos about crows I'm a bit blank about what I did on this day. I know that I spent a lot of money though.)

Here are some crow videos... I love crows.

Facing My Fears at FHE (Part 2)

I don't feel much like writing today, so I'll just get to the good part. Tonight I ended up facing another fear, just like last week. We played a balloon popping game where we tied balloons to our ankles, got into taems of pink and white and tried popping the balloons of the people that weren't on our team. It got really funny really fast, but sadly, unlike last week I did not get any video. We were playing for probably a good half an hour at least. My team did pretty well and due to my high vigilance I lasted a long time. I have a fear of loud sudden noises, so I was too nervous to pop anything, but I was fast enough to evade. II kind of wonder if I'll have to face another fear next week. A big part of me hopes I do not

This is the most important detail of today, so I'll just leave it like this.

Facing My Fears (Part 1)

School started today, and I am SO excited. I had Intro to Music and I am planning on getting an institute class soon as well. I think I'm going to take Pearl of Great Price, but I'm not absolutely sure. Intro to Music seems to be an awesome class. The class has over 100 people in it and I can tell it's going to be challenging, but I'm ready for anything. Dr. Smith himself warned us not to expect anything really easy.

Anyway, after school I went to the book store on campus and tried to get my books, but only my philosophy books were there today. I'm really hoping that I can get my other books soon.

I am just going to skip to the evening now. I just worked on Math a lot today after school and a lot of my usual random unimportant stuff. This evening at FHE the ward played Human Fooseball. Some of you know that I am really really afraid of flying objects so this was so terrifying for me. I only lasted about 5 minutes. I wanted to participate with everyone else, but I got really bad anxiety and I was getting light headed. James was there tonight and I won't lie, I was happy to see him a lot. I partly wanted to play because he was there, but it didn't work out. I did take some vdeo instead though. We had cookies after this. Here is the video.

I'll end with a poem about Sam I wrote today.

Shatter

Shatter and then silence
This is now the end
He does make my heart fly
Time to leave the clouds

I tried to keep my wings
Now I must let go
Though it pains me deeply
I will let them break

Who knows what will happen
Only time will tell
Though my heart is broken
I know this is right

See the glass just falling
I will turn away
But I'll keep on wishing
That we'll unite again

Shattering Silence

Saturday Laura, Natalie, Kayla and I went swimming and we went to a Stake BBQ for all the wards in my home Stake. I don't visit my home ward for church often, but it was fun to eat and swim and see everyone. Laura brought peanut butter cookies because they were supposed to have a bake off but ended up not judging or anything. We accidentally left the pan the cookies were in on the table and lost it. When we were at the pool later I didn't really feel like swimming all that much to be honest. I find that that is the case more and more. I have been an anti chlorine person for most of my life. I love water, just hate chlorine. As I get older the less I am willing to tolerate it. Of course some of my lack of enthusiasm might have to do with the fact that I have free access to a pool at the gym and usually when I get unlimited acces to something I don't get as excited after a while. The gym not included as a whole this is the case for a lot of things. Oh, and I almost forgot, after the BBQ I took a walk down the street before I went to the pool.

I've come to a hard conclusion when it comes to Sam. Hom not talking to me is driving me crazy and all I can do it talk so I'm going to put the breaks on the whole thing and just distance myself from him. The way our lives are right now and how far away he is up at BYU Idaho it's only going to damage us both if I keep trying.  I really want to be a proper friend sometimes in the future, but for now I can't so I told him that I just have to walk away for a while until we have a better opportunity. He and I are still friends on facebook, so it's not like I have no rope to him if I need one for some reason.

I've been drawing more in church lately, I'll show my church doodles sometime soon.

Besides church I have been watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine and some Let's Plays. Playing the Portal games was amazing and I have been watching other people play. It's so funny watching how other people react to everything that happens in the games.
