This evening we had our first Young Single Adult Stake BBQ. All the wards in the stake got together and planned a BBQ this evening. It started around 6pm. I got a ride from Bethany, a person in my ward. We picked up another one of my friends, her name is Amber, Amber and I have been friends since probably the 9th grade. We drove to the Stake center, one of the church buildings near UVU, and found a parking place. The BBQ had just started and everyone was conversing with each other. People were handing out questionnaires and everyone was going around asking each other questions. There was stuff like "find someone that is wearing the same color as you", "find someone hat has seen the same movie as you". Stuff like that was written out on the piece of paper and people went around finding a person that matched. Bethany, Amber, and I did it together. We just went around finding people, and conversing along the way.
It wasn't all that hot, as expected in November. The weather was pretty nice, it wasn't hot or cold, but somewhere in the middle.
I kind of wish I had washed my hair today, I didn't feel like wearing one of my bandanas to the BBQ but my hair is / was a mess so I decided to keep it on.
People started eating about 20 minutes after we got there. There were hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, brownies, and cookies. We grabbed one of each and found a spot at one of the tables at the pavilion. The food was pretty great, I didn't eat a hot dog, but I did eat a hamburger. I prefer to eat hamburgers usually when given a choice like that. I did get everything else like I said.
I didn't talk much with anyone after I ate. I just mostly spent the rest of my time walking around observing people. There was a few things going on, like karaoke, slip n slide, some people were recruiting for Institute of Religion, and some other stuff was going on but I didn't go look.
I took a few pictures of the event with my Instagram iPhone app on my phone.
I grabbed some papers from the Institute recruiting table. I figured it would be a good idea to take a few classes there since I have too much free time on my hands. I then proceeded to call my mom and I asked her about taking the classes there. We haven't really gotten a chance to talk about it yet, but I am pretty sure I will soon. If I can I will take a class with Sam as well if it's possible, it depends on what time his classes are though.
I just walked around observing more after I did this. I went into the pavilion and listened to some of my ward members talk to each other. I just snacked on brownies and cookies and did this for a while. Around 9pm people started cleaning up I was going to grab some cookies and stuff but changed my mind and decided I had had enough sweets.
We headed home at about half past 9. We brought Amber home first. Bethany and I live across the street from each other so I was brought home after that.
It's super nice being off of the HCG diet after a month of being on it. I missed being able to eat chocolate and other stuff.
Nothing much has been happening since I got back. I've been working on the Glass Mask manga, and I also have been playing tetris on Tetris Friends. Other than that nothing has happened. I guess I'll end here since I'm kind of tired and I don't think anything else will happen tonight.
Oh and before I forget, here are today's Instagram photos. My Instragram username is empathic_heart. If you have an iPhone you should get the app and follow me. :)
This first one is from July when we did our ward summer activity in Cash Valley.
Picture I took a few months ago when the sun was setting. I edited it with photo studio, one of my iPhone apps and uploaded it to Instagram today.
This is actually a picture I took 3 years ago almost. I edited it with Instagram and uploaded it there.
