All Over Town

Today was a long day. I got up around 8am and decided to get my bus pass from the Vocational Rehab office. I didn't even eat breakfast before I left. Mom was heading out the door to go to work and gave me a ride to the bus stop even though it's really close. I rode to the transit center and waited for the 850 that goes up to the Vocational Rehab office. It looked like it had just rained, the ground was wet and I was glad it had stopped because I was out there for a good 15 minutes waiting for the bus.

There is a new temple being built in Provo and it's right across the street from the street the office is on. You can still see that the exterior still looks a lot like the old tabernacle that burned down 4 years ago. In case you didn't know, it used to be a tabernacle and my parents performed a few times inside of it in a different choir. In 2010 there was a fire, but they decided to preserve the exterior and turn the interior into a new temple. I imagine the exterior will have SOME changes, but it'll still look like the former tabernacle in a lot of ways. I have pictures of the fire, but I'm not sure if I ever posted them to my blog. If I did I'll find the post and put the link here. It happened December 2010, I'll have to take a look at those blog posts.

I went to the Vocational rehab office and asked if they had my bus pass. The person at the front desk looked, but couldn't find it and she asked my councilor if she knew where t was. Judy said she would find it, but she was busy with someoneelse o I had to wait for 10 or 15 minutes. Eventually she remembered that it was already mailed out to me and that I'd get it either today or tomorrow. I was more amused than annoyed at this. I left after that and caught the bus back to the transit center.

I was really hungry, so I decided to visit the new grilled cheese place in the mall. Melty Way is great, I've been there three or four times.I was apparently the first one there around 10:45, the mall opens at 10, so I'm not surprised. I ordered a grilled ham, egg and cheese sandwich, and it came with a Caesar Salad, potato chips, and a Dr. Pepper. I sat and ate my breakfast and then headed off to do some dress and skirt shopping for Sunday. Here is a picture of the food I got.

I've been wearing the same skirt to church every week for a couple of years now. I guess I was just too lazy to go shopping for new Sunday clothes, or didn't really feel like it for a long time. Now that I have been going out a lot more though my interest in clothes has increased and I feel like I care about what I wear more. I try not to care too much, because I am a no hassle kind of person and don't like to waste money or time on anything that isn't really important. I don't really wear makeup or do my hair in any fancy way. I've always been really bad at such things and don't know much about either. One of the most frustrating things to me is trying to do my hair. Even when I go to the hair salon I have trouble deciding what to do with it. Most of the stuff I decide on I get from Google and magazines.

I went to Deb, Forever 21, Macy's, Papaya, H&M, Downeast Outfitters, and Dress Barn. I found a few dresses at Deb, and H&M that I liked, but none of them worked out. There was a couple that were black, one had pink roses, and one had orange roses. One had lace sleeves and the other had sleeves, but a lace back. Two others ere strapless, I actually didn't notice this until I tried them on and saw the things I thought were straps were actually just things that could help keep them on the hangers. Those dresses had a lot of multi colored flowers on an aqua background. Well, actually I think one of the dresses had a different colored background, but I tried so many dresses and skirts on today that I blanked it out. I know I probably tried on like 6 or 7 different dresses at Deb alone. I think there was a black dress with a salmon, aqua, white and orange design on it, and a white dress as well. I came out the store empty handed as expected. I am really picky about what I wear. The dresses at H&M I liked didn't work out as well. There was a black and blue strapped dress and a hot pink one I tried, but they were too small and didn't look good on me anyway.

After looking around the shops for a couple of hours I decided to go to Starbucks because I had put more money on my card today. I got a cinnamon hot chocolate and it was great. After sitting at the long table they have there and looking at all their food items, I left and went back to the mall, sat down on one of the benches and finished my drink.

I went around the mall a bit more and then decided to ride the bus to walmart. I We have two around where I live, one by school and one in the exact opposite direction from the mall that school is. I tend to like the clothes at the farther one, so I went ahead and took the 25 minute bus ride up to that Walmart. I ended up not finding any dresses or skirts that were worth it, but I DID find my next three tank tops I want to buy and some other workout clothes. I'll tell you more about those when I actually buy them though. Anyway, so I was going to get a ride home, but I decided to just take the bus again back in the direction of the mall. I had called my mom to see if she could give me a ride, but she was on her way to another shift at work and told me I should try dad. I changed my mind and decided I didn't want to go home right then after all.

I decided to go to Cafe Rio, but when I got there I changed my mind and and went to the nearby Jamba Juice instead where I got a Mango Peach energy bowl.

I walked to Savers after this which was really close (almost next door) and that was my final stop tonight. I was there for about 2 or 3 hours maybe. I lost track of time, so I'm not sure now. I looked through all the dresses, skirts and shirts. Some of the dresses I picked were strapped so I had to find shirts to go underneath at least 2 of them. I don't feel any need to describe every one of the ones I tried on, but here are the ones I ended up with. If I feel like it after my day on on Saturday, on Sunday I'll tell you about more of the stuff I saw. None of the dresses I tried on worked out, but I picked out a white and a black skirt and a really cool shirt.

There was one dress that I really liked, it was strapped and had a lot of pastel colors. it didn't fit me though. That one was probably the biggest disappointment of the night. I would have taken pictures of the items, but my phones battery was low and I didn't bring my charger today. There was one other blue shirt that I was going to buy with a cool sparkly sings design, but I decided that if it is there still in a couple of week that I will get it then. Anyway, so I called dad when I was done and he sent Laura to come and get me.

I watched anime and had a toasted cheese and tuna sandwich for dinner. the rest isn't important.
